i'm a senior citizen. I hate to get jerked around. I'm too old! i made the effort to get to East 30th St.today. went way out of my way to get medical dispensary cannabis item . I was greeted by new employees. always new employees: rarely do you see the same person twice. Well today they wouldn't admit me as they wouldn't recognize my cannabis New York State ID /license /pass (the only photo ID I had on me) which isn't due to expire until April 2026. I offered to show the ghouls my yearly up to date New York State cannabis certification. that would not do? They wouldn't let me use my cannabis pass as a photo ID. They demanded I show them a New York State drivers license which I don't have or a photo state ID, which I didn't have with me. I have been using this cannabis ID at this location. I'm up the proverbial Schitt Creek. I had to go all the way home now without what i came for. i am needing medication for my pain. I know ny state is trying to get rid of medical Cannabis so they can get all of the money from the recreational cannabis. The recreational dispensaries are everywhere. There are two remaining medical dispensaries in Manhattan. What am I supposed to do now? I will never go back to RISE dispensary. the people that I dealt with today couldn't clarify or make sense of anything that was going on... and I left there feeling like the fool. because I wasn't informed? they've made changes changes that affect my life. after fighting with an uncooperative website and finally submitting my order told it was being processed only to travel to the location and not be allowed to retrieve my medical order. highly insulted . these young whipper snappers turning me away.i think they shut the wrong medical dispensary down. i never had such trouble at Columbia...
Read moreI've been going to RISE(Manhattan) for over a year now. It remains THE BEST medical or recreational experience(s) I've had in NYC. I am always greeted with the biggest smiles, most genuine compliments, and crucially, the happiest people.
I'm on a first-name basis with most everyone that works in the shop, and they know what I like and don't. The staff will always steer you in the right direction no matter your level of marijuana proficiency. I see regulars like myself come through and be on their way as quickly as they want to be. I also see folks come in there with ZERO knowledge about any of it, and the care they get is top-notch; the staff treats them with the same level of care and attention, if not more, as they treat me.
I love this place for many reasons; the flower is only second to the people that make RISE(Manhattan) so wonderful. Amanda and Carlos always want to talk about my style(which always makes my day). Chris is always excited to sit with me for a few minutes to let me know what's in the pipeline or just to tell me how much he appreciates "a smiling face". Chris is somewhat of a brand ambassador for Rhythm--the best flower in all of New York, city, or state--Come at me!
I forgot to mention the endless 25%-30% off sales they have on the regular. I canât even look at the rec market anymore knowing how much money I'm wasting. This is the way. Your medical certification will pay for itself in one or two visits, especially your first one.
It's just as wholesome as marijuana can get, I promise you. Being a medical member at RISE(Manhattan) just hits different. I love these people; the only thing they could do better is be closer to Chinatown. I can forgive that.
Become a patient at RISE---You won't be...

AlSo because I hate doing bad reviews, so Iâm mellowing it out a little bit. I have contacted them two days ago to set up an appointment. I placed an order and I asked them to confirm. nothing came via email, phone call or text even though I left all the information So this morning I was on my way to show up for an appointment that I assumed was honored. Just to remind you - We are in May 2020 so commuting is a challenge. So is planning, getting cash, etc. Once I showed up at the location they notified me that they were not ready to see me that I should instead use a certain email address to set up a phone appointment prior to coming in person. That information was not on the website. I asked to have a phone conversation right then and there since I was already at the location and I could easily use my phone as could the Doctor Who would interview me. I was denied that option. I explained the hardship of arranging multiple trips and the young lady informed me that she has to make trips twice a week in order to work which was totally beside the point. I appreciate the social workersâ work so this is not about diminishing the effort of people putting into showing up at work but it really had nothing to do with asking patients to make multiple trips because of unclear information and lack of flexibility. I regret to cross off this dispensary of the list of places Iâll Ever...
