Tammy Kopie! Remember that name! Tammy is a master colorist at Roman K. Salon and a hidden jewel in the over-populated over-hyped world of New York City Colorists. I have been following Tammy since she first began working at the John Barrett salon nearly 20 years ago because she has the uncanny ability to give you exactly what you want! I literally told her I wanted my hair to look like it did after a summer at the beach when I was fifteen years old! She was able to do that nearly impossible feat, even though I was 33 years old at the time with very dark brown hair! She has seen me through greying and at 53 my hair is my perfect blond with rich natural undertones and bright playful highlights! Do not let her humble, quiet way fool you, she is a monster talent! If you want people to say, "you have beautiful hair" instead of "who does your color?" go see Tammy immediately! Roman K Salon is a beautiful space, and everyone who works there has the wonderful air of people who are working at a place they really like. There is no attitude, and they work as a team to make you beautiful! They also have an outrageously well priced manicure and pedicure that can be done while you color your hair! I had a Great first experience at the salon and am looking forward to my next visit (which I already pre booked) before the holidays. I was greeted by the Staff of RomanK right away when I first entered the salon (They were so friendly and welcoming). From Start to Finish, I had an OUSTANDING experience with Pascal and Courtney. Both Pascal and Courtney did a full consultation together on my hair. Thoroughly they explained what I need to enhance and alter for the best result for my Color and Cut. They were patient with me and extremely knowledgeable.First Pascal worked his magic for my haircut, and then Courtney created beautiful highlights in my hair using the Balayage technique. While I was processing I sipped on a delicious glass of wine, while having the Manicurist Kristina give me her signature Medical Manicure. After Courtney finished my highlights, she hydrated my hair with an Intense Shu Uemura Treatment, leaving my hair feeling brand new. I highly recommend seeing Pascal and Courtney to anyone who is scheduling at RomanK Salon.
