I have been searching high and low for an esthetician/salon that was just right for me. I wanted a salon that understood me and my skin's needs. After scouring some skincare subreddits, Beauty Therapy Session came up more than a few times. A quick scan of their Google reviews, and you'll find a ton of five star reviews. I was sold. I booked an appointment with Nikkii for Saturday. The salon is located on the fourth floor of an office building, and the website gives clear instructions on how to find them and how to enter the building if the main lobby doors are locked on the weekend. I found the building easily and made my way up to the fourth floor where Nikkii was there to greet me. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome. She got me set up in the room and once I was comfortable, she started an in-depth skin analysis. She was asking questions that no esthetician had ever asked me before. She took her time to understand my concerns and goals and actually LISTENED to me. I booked the "I Woke Up Like This" facial, which is their 60 minute service and the entire experience was incredible. It started with collagen hand masks (fancy!), and then Nikkii got right to work cleansing my skin thoroughly, performing the extractions, applying masks/products, and various treatments. With each step, she explained what she was using and exactly what it did. I felt at ease and informed the entire way through - and not to mention relaxed. At one point, she even gave me a hand massage and started the massager on the bed for me too. I could've easily fallen asleep, it was that good. And even during the not-so-fun extractions, she had a very gentle touch, making it breeze by. I walked out of there with some new products to try and my skin glowing! I'm so excited to finally have a salon to help me on my healthy skin journey and I can't wait to book my next appointment! I'm absolutely in awe of my skin after getting to visit Nicole for the past three months! Truly life changing, I feel in control of my skin for the first time in YEARS. Instead of getting surprise breakouts, I now understand how my skin works and how to get those breakouts under control.

The first time I visited it was right before a photo shoot (don't do that tho). Nicole made sure to educate me about my skin type. I used to always think I had dry skin, but she taught me that it was dehydrated - oily skin! who knew??
