Where do I start!? I love, love, love park slope laser aesthetics. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the two wonderful ladies in front. Had an amazing consultation with Hansa, who by the way is so welcoming. I love the fact that I get not one but two text reminder. As a working mom of 2 these reminders are really important. Anyways the machine that park slope laser aesthetics uses is state of the art. As a black women a lot of these lasers are only good for fairer women, however I went there for stretch marks removal and I’m going on my third treatment and I can already see results. I finally found a place where I don’t need to feel embarrassed when getting treatments.

Nice, clean spot. I bought their laser hair removal package and booking appointments was pretty easy and the overall treatment was quite effective. Removing 1 star because: - I found out halfway through the process that my technician is unvaccinated and doesn't ever intend to get vaccinated. Seems a bit unsafe given how much close person-to-person contact the job requires. - A couple times, I had to wait over 10 mins for the appointment even though I arrived right on time and no other customers were there.

OBSESSED! Pictures are Before, 1st session (1/2 syringe), 2nd session (1/2 syringe). The third picture is super swollen, but it will go down and be just perfect. These doctors are amazing and I am so glad I chose this medspa. I found it on Reddit from someone recommending the physicians here, and I am so grateful. It was my first time getting any procedure, and they were kind, thoughtful, and answered all of my questions throughout the process. And best of all — I LOVE MY LIPS! My lips, but better.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from Park Slope Laser Aesthetic Center.

The experience was marred by poor communication, unprofessionalism, and contradictory statements from staff.

I communicated my concerns regarding hyperpigmentation to the team at Heights Aesthetic Laser Center. They recommended LaceMD as the most effective solution for this issue. Trusting their professional judgment, I made a payment of $1,300, believing that I was taking a significant step toward addressing my hyperpigmentation. I subsequently scheduled my first appointment for the following Monday.

A few days later, I received a notification stating: “Dear N, this is Heights Aesthetic Laser Center. We wish to inform you that we are temporarily relocating, and your upcoming service will now be conducted at Park Slope Laser Aesthetic Center located at 499 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY. This facility has been established for nearly ten years and is staffed with experienced, highly regarded providers. We are confident you will receive excellent care. Would you like to attend on Monday at 11:15 am?”

Despite the new location being inconvenient for me, I decided to proceed.

Upon arrival, I completed the requisite paperwork and was escorted into a treatment room by a different aesthetician then the one I have been using for years at Heights Aesthetic Laser Center. Once lying down in the room, I was surprised to learn that the LaceMD machine was unavailable; instead, the aesthetician proposed using an entirely different device, claiming it would better suit my needs. She further remarked that the aesthetician at the original location should not have recommended LaceMD and that I should have opted for a VP peel.

As numbing cream was applied to my face, I inquired, “Why am I receiving this treatment if it is not appropriate for my situation?” She conceded, stating, “You are correct,” and subsequently removed the numbing cream that was already activating on my face. Feeling completely confused and frustrated, I approached the front desk to seek clarification on the situation and to explore my options. Regrettably, I encountered no assistance, only rebuttals and contradictory remarks. My face at this point entirely numb!

This experience was unprofessional and indicative of questionable business practices. I anticipated better communication and support, particularly after investing a significant amount of money and time. I departed without any resolution, as the manager and receptinist failed to understand the appropriateness of providing me with a refund. I have never experienced anything like this before and remain thoroughly shocked, over one hour later, while sitting at home with my face still numb.

They should have been transparent in stating that the service for which I paid was not available at the alternative location.

They should have informed me that my original aesthetician would not be performing the procedure.

There should not be contradictions or disparaging remarks between employees of what is ostensibly a sister company (questionable).

They should prioritize honesty and transparency rather than showcasing unprofessional behavior.

If you are unable to deliver the service I paid for, I expect a full refund. Speaking negatively about the location where I originally purchased the service does not reflect well on you; it only undermines...

Disappointing Stretch Mark Results & Aggressive Sales Tactics at Park Slope Laser Aesthetic Center Now that I’m seeing your response to my original review, I have to clarify that none of the points you brought up are true—so I’ve updated my review to address them directly.

I never signed up for skin tightening—I specifically purchased a stretch mark removal package. I was promised 60–70% improvement, along with free laser hair removal, which I was later told was not included. On the day I paid for the package, the front desk told me the hair removal wasn’t part of it. I never received it. At the end of my laser treatment, the provider asked me to buy it, not book it.

I paid in full upfront from day one, before the treatments began. I remember purchasing a 9-session package, but even if we go with your claim of 8 sessions—it still cost around $8,000, and again, everything was prepaid. The issue with the last session wasn’t that I “skipped” it—it’s that you weren’t willing to accommodate me later, which only makes this situation worse.

The timing matters. I had visitors during the summer and was also on vacation, and I informed the salon that I’d return afterward. It’s important to understand that after each laser session, you need about 4 weeks to heal, and sun exposure is not recommended. So if you start the package around December 1st, it’s easy to see how by session 7, it’s already June—we naturally run into summer. I avoided any sun exposure during the treatment period. Once summer came, I took a legitimate break and planned to return after the season and after my guests left. When I followed up, I was told it was “too late.”

My 7th session caused a skin burn. We went to a much higher setting because there had been no visible improvement by session 6. This was a decision made by the provider. I am not a skin specialist, so I relied on your professional recommendation. That burn made me cautious about continuing treatments, especially during hot weather and risking any sun exposure.

Yes, I didn’t pick up the last session right away, but I had valid reasons: the burn, vacation, and the risk of sun damage. Still, I tried to reschedule after the summer, and I was told I couldn’t receive the session—even though I had already paid for it.

Regarding the review timing—it doesn’t matter. I was very upset at the time. I asked for a solution and was dismissed. At first, I thought writing a review wouldn’t help me—but I’ve changed my mind. Maybe it won’t help me, but it can definitely help others!

If I had seen an honest review like this before purchasing, I would never have spent $8,000–$9,000. I hope this helps future clients avoid making the same mistake.

Bottom line: I saw no real results, was dismissed when I raised concerns, never received the hair removal I was promised, and was denied the final session, despite prepaying everything. My main concern was always stretch mark removal, so I don’t understand why you’re trying to change the narrative now. Note: This is a reply to your response. I’ve saved my original review for later reference. I still remember it was a 9-session package, but whether it was 8 or 9 isn’t the real issue. The problem is the entire package was expensive and...

When first looking for a spot to get Microneedling /laser done I was going off reviews and wanted to give this place a chance regardless of what Yelp read . After receiving a text to post a review yesterday and I see it never posted now I know going forward I’m going to only go off Yelp reviews for any company. After getting 7 sessions (I purchased a bundle of Microneedling /fraxel laser ) I felt like it’s all about the sale . Some visits I would get numbing cream on my face and some not . My last visit of getting fraxel laser no numbing cream . I felt she was in a hurry since the place was closing and it was very painful. I never felt the genuine love of the work . On to the next one is how I felt. They took before pics but no after and I asked and was told I see results but I wanted the after pic! I truly wanted to compare. After 6/7 sessions of Microneedling/fraxel laser she said come in a few months to get Microneedling. According to my friend who does this work told me you only need so many sessions then wait a year. This was my first time and just a little saddened by the Sales vibe and not the love that goes into what the customer wants/needs are. I will not be returning and after this I will only see someone that’s board certified or a dermatologist ———————————————————————. After reading your response it’s not true! I got a phone call and I answered and was on a work call, I told the young lady I would call back. (I spoke to the manager and receptionist when I called back) no empathy as they are upset about this review. I’m all about making it right! I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s business but also it’s important that I share my honest opinion. I asked the lady who did my Micro needling if we needed after pictures and she questioned it so it should have been communicated at that time that that I asked her not after reading my review that I need to come in after my treatment to...
