When they opened planet fitness in this neighborhood I was very excited but not anymore. I have been a member for a few months and for the past three it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Let me start off by saying how rude the staff is. Many of them, at least the ones I have come in contact with were nasty and short-tempered. And the worst part is they don't even know their job. I called because I received the late fee for my monthly bill. When I called to find out why she said it was because my card was no good and that I needed to update it in the app. Okay no problem. I go on the app and there is nowhere for me to update that information. I call back and it was a complete mess. The first guy I spoke to told me I was fine and that there was nothing wrong with my car which was obviously not the case. He then put me on with his manager Katie ( Cady?) who was beyond obnoxious. Now I'm told that oh you can't update on the app you have to come in person. She then went on to tell me that she would never tell somebody they could update it on the app as if I was making up this information. I explained that I did not talk to her the first or the second time but obviously the rest of the staff doesn't know what they're doing..She was trying to sound professional and courteous but she was very condescending and had no answer for the fact that the rest of the staff gave me false information and nobody there seem to be trained appropriately to handle the issue. In addition, I had no option to pay right then and there on the phone to avoid the late fee, a fee that could have been avoided had I been given the right information. In addition to all that the gym itself while huge is always packed and you always have to wait for machines. The idea that it's a no judgment zone is nonsense because everybody is always staring at you when you go in there. I'd rather pay the extra money to go...

Lot of fine things about this gym, but I was just there to take a SHOWER, using their 1-day free pass. The service was fine and the whole place was clean, but I'm just reviewing the Shower:
3 stalls
1 stall had no shower head (stolen?)
1 stall had no hang-up hook outside the stall where you can hang your pants and wallet (want to keep an eye on them if you didn't come with at lock to lock your stuff up in one of their lockers (good idea to bring a lock)).
the 3rd (out of 3) stall was fully functional.
the drain didn't work 100%, but at least the shower pan didn't overflow onto the floor. The water backed up about 1/2-3/4 inch deep in the shower pan.
disco music ran mindlessly the whole time
only felt scared once when loud teenagers were making noise elsewhere in the locker room.
the changing stalls has 3-foot stools. How are you going to tie your shoes when sitting on a 3-foot stool? Maybe they want you to change out by the locker (bring a lock); maybe there are proper benches there.
the place was clean (good), except for some 'accumulation' on the shower drain. (Maybe bring your own handful of paper towels to empty the shower drain before shower?)
It takes some getting used to, but for a 1st time ever, it went reasonably well and would use again if didn't have a home shower to use. (There are a lot of people in the Van Life/RV community that use Planet Fitness to take...
Read moreEvery worker in there is extremely rude. When I walk in, they don’t greet at all but they do make sure to stare you down like you’re an animal or some species they’ve never seen before. There’s this one specific girl that works mornings, black hair, who will look at you very uncomfortably and then when there’s a few girls at the front desk, they make sure to talk about you as if you didn’t hear them. I feel as though this location, staff wise needs revision because I am tired of walking in everyday and seeing them degrade people with those concerning looks and expressions that they make. I’ve never felt comfortable with any female worker at the front desk, they go to work to gossip, stare at you disrespectfully, and to give you attitude. All of them. They need to be taught professionally. I wonder who their manager is, they also eat and drink their coffee at the front desk while laughing at people who come in. Thinking about cancelling my membership. Don’t come here unless you want to feel disrespected and any less or a human being because there is not one bit of decency. One time I even said good morning, she then starred at me as if that was a problem to greet...
