I'd like to share my experience with an exceptional salesperson. Imrat (Shumi) Ahmed, who works at the Queens Blvd (Elmhurst, NY) showroom and was formally at the Long Island City, NY store. You see, finding great service is such a bonus and spending money on furniture, especially large items you hope will last a while can be a difficult decision. I'll tell you, I visited the sofa I currently have in the Raymour and Flanigan showroom so many times you'd think I belonged there!! I'm writing this review to explain the wonderful experience I had with Shumi. First of all, Shumi is friendly and personable. As I sat on the beautiful sofa contemplating if I should make the large purchase, she was there to help me with my decision. She took the time to get to know me and was available to answer my questions. She knew useful information that helped me make a confident decision. I felt great about my choice and still do!! Home furnishing is an important choice and making a decision on quality and style is extremely important. I value the experience I had at Raymour and Flanigan and the consultation I received was phenomenal! I've run into Shumi a few times on the street in Queens and each time we have such nice conversation! She remembers me each time and I feel like I gained a friend! So if you want to make a purchase and you have questions I hope you find someone as friendly as I have. Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience with these people. I bought a crib from them and when they came to deliver it, they were missing a piece. This happen around 10am and they had me waiting around all day telling me someone will come back with the missing piece. Nobody ever came. Ended up getting in contact with them and they told me they would be able to drop off the missing piece not the next day, but the following DAY! It takes 3 days to deliver a crib? I demanded them to bring it the next day which they argued with me about but finally agreed to it and here we are…… still waiting. Instead of me being the first on their route, I’ve been waiting all day for this piece and nothing. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Never buy from these people.

Another update on my experience buying from here. The delivery for the missing part came at 9:30pm! I wasted an entire day for these people. At that point I was not home. When they finally assembled everything, I assume they were rushing because now the crib is all wobbly and they installed a piece wrong. I could easily fix it however, I paid for a service because delivery isn’t free and it should be done correctly. I called the next day to return the crib and they insisted they’ll make it right by exchanging the entire crib with a brand new one. I’m expecting the delivery today. Two weeks to deliver a crib with multiple trips. You might be wondering why I keep on continuing with this and it’s because my wife absolutely fell in love with the crib.

Read moreI have a mixed feelings. I feel the salesman sold me something I didn't need. I came in there to look for a new mattress. He immediately greeted me and showed me a mattress that was perfect, Sealy Mohegan Bluffs Pillowtop I was gonna buy a Full size since I already had frame but Queen wasn't much different in price so I started considering that there. He said to stick with full size since I had frame already (I think he wanted an immediate sale). Then he said I needed a box spring and I told him I had Ikea slats and didn't need a box spring. He told me slats were very very bad for mattress and I needed a Bunkie board to make most out of mattress (feel like he just wanted another sale). I got full size mattress and Bunkie delivered, than within 45 day protection plan I ended up switching to Queen size. Everything was great with exchange and manager was great.
I'm really kicking myself about Bunkie board though. Wish I would have said something about possible return but their return policy said it wasn't an option so I kept my mouth shut. I feel I was taken advantage of. I've talked to a bunch of friends who have bed slats since and read articles online and they all say I don't need a Bunkie board. Feel bothered I fell for sales tactic.
