
I was a member for two years, so please read this carefully before you sign up. They have a very limited number of equipment and a lot of it is broken. While the majority of the regular staff is very pleasant, I find that the assistant, general managers and the plethora of unseen and unaccountable owners, and managers, that you will never meet and never get a chance to speak to in order to Voice, your concerns, and/or opinions, make it a very toxic atmosphere.
As a professional bodybuilder, I have very little tolerance for rude individuals as well as individuals who don’t rack their plates, who stand around, taking pictures of themselves, while hogging equipment, and rude staff. This place has it all plus more. This is one of my two gyms or at least used to be and frankly I couldn’t wait to quit even though it cost me a $270 early termination fee (despite the fact, I was told that I was no longer under contract and I was going month-to-month)!
It’s an amateurish gym, full of rude people who simply don’t know gym, etiquette and gym protocol. If you were looking for a serious gym or a positive atmosphere where you will feel safe and you will feel that you have the opportunity and support of the staff, and even fellow members to grow and learn on your journey to better yourself ; then this is not the gym for you!!
All the serious lifters and serious and dedicated gym goers have left over the past six months, and I basically look at this place as a planet fitness “plus“. Whenever a piece of equipment is broken. It usually takes them at least two weeks to replace or fix the broken piece of equipment and even the assistant general manager has no idea for example, that there are rather there is a reason that there are two different calf raise machines: there are two separate muscles in the calves ; ergo, they require two separate machines to be worked out properly. I recently went on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks and the calf raise machine as well as the abductor/abduction machine was broken. When I returned, I found that the machines were still broken. When I asked one of the assistant general managers, he very rudely, replied that a) some vague answer that they’re waiting on the parts and B) for now you can use the other calf machine, again, not realizing that there are two separate muscle groups in the calves. How could you be an assistant, general manager of a gym and not realize that very simple part of the human anatomy, or the very simple fact that those two machines are meant to do two separate things? I worked in a gym for six years before I started working my current career and I can tell you that this is a very amateurish operation run by a group of amateurs, who seem to be very apathetic as to the comfort and happiness of their members. As for the owners? Who the hell even knows who they are? When you asked to speak to one of them or even the general manager, a.k.a. the top boss, you are Hit with a wall of resistance, and that should not be.!
No matter what deal they give you avoid at all costs! There are plenty of other gyms in the area such as BQE, which offer better deals, and also provide free parking! They also give discounts to veterans first responders teachers and people in the medical field.
I have no regrets about paying that nearly $300 early termination fee; despite being lied to, and I am very happy at my new back up gym. Please do yourself a favor and do not go here! It’s no better than a regular, planet, fitness, New York, sports club, or any other chain gym.

A) I Kindly ask you to remove my name from that reply, I did not mention ANYONE’S name in my review out of respect of everyone's privacy so, there is NO REASON to put my name out there as well. It makes sense why the owner is responding to every single one of them with zero respect or accountability.. anyways I’m from around the area and one thing I can say about this gym is that. It was great at the beginning and the staff said “yea sure!!” When I asked, “hey is it okay if I see if I like going to this gym and continue going the next month?” They said “sure just tell us before you decide to cancel the member ship since it’s automatically going to be a payment every month from the card on file”. Keep note this card is my mothers card!! She was there with me as a witness. By the way they did NOT tell me there was a contact that would be emailed to me at all. And as a 20 year old I do not, look at my emails. So this was a huge trick. Anyways by the end of July I wanted to end my member ship and they told me it wasn’t possible since the card was charged. But towards the next month I could cancel if I wanted to.. I said “that’s okay I understand” and by the next month I wanted to cancel until they bought up.. “2 month/60 days notice” which was NOT told to me in the beginning of my gym member ship sign up. They did not discuss anything but told me the different prices and didn’t discuss the no commitment differences. Anyways, this gym is pretty disrespectful and unfair towards their clients and members that join. They called me through my phone and left a slightly threatening message about how if I didn’t pay the two months which by the way (I didn’t go to the gym) for those 60 days because I didn’t want to continue the membership. I would get a call by someone else since there was money they needed to collect.. I told them before I attempted to cancel this month. That I wouldn’t be able to continue because of bills. And they were nice until the very end. I will probably try to attempt to discuss things with another area or the head of this entire company to resolve things respectfully. Because this isn’t right on my part since I’ve made things clear I wanted to cancel my member ship sooner than later. Yet they decided to warn a lot of their members last minute about the 60 day notice. Also these staff are super rude and have a terrible attitude.. except for like two of these college kids working which is this one blonde girl and another guy working there but everyone else just doesn’t have any respect for their members which isn’t a smart business move.. also no point of replying to current or old members of your gym with disrespect. Never ever had this issue with any other gym.. Read moreRead the reviews concerning membership cancellation and dues. They are considerable and precise and for good reason. It is next to impossible to get a favorable resolution from these people. Once you pay and join, you are expected to continue your contract and membership indefinitely. I had the SAME exact issue. Excuses follow by the run around concerning the ending and cancellation of my contract. Basically like most gyms they operate based strictly on profit driven and any decline is a death sentence. They will lie, deflect, distract and debunk any opposition to keep that bottom line from shrinking. You get smiles and greetings when a paying member but the minute you decide to cancel and leave the so called fam, you get daggers and cold stares and utter contempt.
Do yourself a favor and be more vigilant and read these contract and policies. They will deviate from this given the chance and member complacency. Do not give them the benefit or be fooled by the fake and false jubilant expressions when entering as a member. It is an act. You pay, you good. You stop or discontinue for any valid reason and you are now the adversary. Finally, I would like to comment on the space limitation of the actual gym. Simply put there is no room to hold certain classes. Especially by the locker and restrooms. As a paying member I would rather not be hit by a left hook when trying to relieve my blotted bowels, especially when in a rush. Sticking a class in a cramped space with far too many people blocking access to an essential area which the male patrons need immediate and daily access is downright ludicrous and nonsensical.
