Trade Fair Supermarket — Attraction in New York

No new updates that are in favor of the business. Things have just gotten more expensive. The Dominican guy in the deli department is so rude no matter how nice you address him. He will stay back there and pretend not to see you while you wait forever for him to come take your order.

The only update that's positive to this review is that they're open 24 hours, 7 days a week which is very convenient because I get up early and like to get to things before it gets crowded.

Very expensive, almost always crowded, inconsistent pricing. They'll have one price advertised then it'll ring up a different price. They also label produce incorrectly sometimes so when the cashiers ring up the product using the code, you get charged the wrong price. The deli department staff doesn't understand when you ask for your cold cuts sliced thin. They also just use any employee in the deli department when they're short staffed. I've seen a man bringing things to the trash can outside and then in the deli department a few minutes later.

Unfortunately, I can't update this review with anything better. In fact the other day a customer was talking the one of the managers and she was very upset because another woman manager yelled at her. She was saying she felt disrespected and the woman managers was standing on the side talking about this customer

The same issues with wrong prices, incorrect labeling. There are also times when poultry was spoiled and I had to return it and they have the nerve to have signs up saying no refund on perishables? Yet they're selling...

The supermarket is very overpriced. They do not follow the WIC rules, even when you bring the booklet and show them what is on WIC they still don't follow it. Today I went and I bought a thermos and it was broke the guy wouldn't give me my money back because I didn't have the receipt, but the other manager that was with him told him to search for the receipt in the computer which he did and he got lazy and didn't want to search for it no more so instead of giving me my money back he gave me store credit. The lady register one who I went to vouched and said that I was just there within the hour but every time when it comes to giving your money back it seems like they don't want to do that it seems like they'd rather you buy something or give you store credit I had issues with this Supermarket for a few times but I haven't reported it until now. I feel that this is unacceptable. Even one of the guys behind another register saw that I was standing in for over an hour just for him to give me a blank receipt for him to sign it to say old don't lose it cuz I don't lose $8 because he was lazy and didn't want to do his job. I live literally right around the corner from this supermarket and I don't think I'll be shopping here no longer, not even...

i like the way it's been renovated - i was here decades ago and recall it was a dump, but now it's clean, well lit and less cluttered. some box pile narrowed aisles may be hard to navigate if you have a wheelchair, large stroller or are wheeling a bike. besides the sales in the weekly circular, i was impressed with the 1lb and 4lbs dry bean variety and prices as it seems where spanish and indian products overlap, you can find good deals such as tea leaf and the milder dry spices. they have a full service butcher and fish monger, lots of freshly baked stuff brought in. they give you 2-for prices even if you buy 1. turn over must be good as the dry goods i checked still had 1-2 year use dates on them. shorter shoppers may have to ask for help reaching stuff, but there's always someone shelf stocking nearby. back of aisle 2 has a pricing station mounted up on a column - always a plus. it was worth the long walk from FH for whenever the circular week sales include...
