Design Nails — Attraction in Newark

My cousin and I went to get our nails done for her college graduation upon entering we were greeted by a gentleman at that front desk asking if we wanted gel or regular she chose a full set with gel (which he stated was 35$) I chose a full set with regular (which he stated was 25$) she was directed to a man sitting on the first set of tables she showed him a design of a 3D floral nail he said that he would be able to do it but it would be an additional 5$ Per flower which she said ok to, then the man put the set on and before doing the design he told her she had to pay first before he did anything else which he had already started he told her the price would be 35$+25$ So the 35$ maybe 45$ Set turned into a 60$ set quick so my cousin paid because she had half completed nails at this time that’s when the man doing her nails stated doing what he wanted and not listening to the requests of his client my cousin then stated to him I want my nails this way I’ve already paid for it why aren’t you listening. That’s when the man turned to her and said he didn’t do the 3D flowers so he charged her and didn’t expect to finish the job so I got up and spoke to the “manager” and he started screaming at me as if he was going to swing at me saying I was wrong then he directed my cousin to another lady whom he stated does the flowers and wanted to charge her an additional 5$ to do a simple line so a 35$ set turned into a 60$ set turned into a 65$ set.....which isn’t even the design she asked for....long story short the manager is a con-artist and the staff start off the job collects and do whatever and charge how much they please.....I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN...

Not the cleanest Nail Salon, but that's downtown Newark what do you expect, they treat you like you're deneath them(but that's another topic). The unfriendliness of the staff, I should have just turned around and walked out of the salon. It is not relaxing at all. The way they do my nails is the reason why I keep going back, pretty decent. Except for the last two times, I needed a minor touch up, nothing some filing couldn't fix. Also, I'm not a fan of the pedicure station, I'll pass. You know what, I don't like the place. So, yesterday was my last visit. If you are looking for a relaxing nail salon with great service, a place that's eager to please, who takes pride in their work, who recommends product's and treats you with respect,...

I didnt like this place very much because it's not a very sanitary place. Also one of the workers very rudely came to where my Goddaughter and I were sitting to grab nail polish from the case above us. She never said excuse me, so we just moved over so that she wouldn't be reaching over us. Then she proceeds to take her shoes off and stand barefoot in the chair my Goddaughter was sitting in so that she could reach. I only went there so that my Goddaughter could get her nails done and she goes there all of the time. I would have given it less than 3 stars, but the lady who did my Goddaughter's nails did a great job. Also it's been years since I've had my nails done and there prices for something so simple are...
