5 stars for Thomas Pietrukaniec. Manager that helped me get refunds for perfumes I thought my mother wore. The lady with the head covering (called the store and got her name. Her name is Safora) that first helped me was absolutely was horrible to me. Refused any sort of compensation and had zero understanding of my situation. She was also making up policies so I would leave. I asked for a manager and thankfully Thomas came. He told her to give me a refund on the original payment. She rolled her eyes and processed it as a gift card! She purposely processed my refund as a gift card because she knew one of the perfumes I was returning she helped me get and she didn’t want her little commission to go away. She tries to hand me the gift card and I said that it should be refunded on the original payment (like ur manager literally just said to do!) she then starts playing dumb and saying that I said it was fine as a gift card. Yes I did because that was the only way they would refund me in the beginning and was refusing to refund me on my original payment. But then I brought up nordstroms having a better policy than them and Thomas said to refund on the original payment. She still didn’t do that and Thomas had to tell her to go away because she was making everything difficult. Thomas thankfully saved the day and refunded me on the original payment. By the end of this fiasco I was shaking and on the verge of tears. I have NEVER EVER been treated like that from a retail employee. I honestly felt disgusted leaving that store. I don’t think I will be going back to that store nor will I be shopping at Bloomingdale’s again. This location is the closest location and I buy things online all the time but I don’t want to ever have to return to that store, if needed, ever again! I’m also a young customer. (Gen z) and for me to put my time and effort on writing this and calling the store to get safora’s name shows you on how horribly I was treated today. But thank you Thomas for your help! Read moreHave to go with the other reviewers on this location - customer service and general attitude here is rude, rude, RUDE. Apparently the condescending attitude is pervasive across most of the staff; I tried to return one item and was talked down to, and treated in the most disrespectful manner. The staff treats clients with a holier-than-thou attitude, and try to rush you off if you have any questions.
The condescending attitude continued when I politely asked the staff member to help me dispose of the plastic wrapping that the returned item came in. I was curtly to "do it myself, the garbage can is right here." It was an extremely uncomfortable situation to be placed in; Bloomies staff clearly did not want to be responsible for getting rid of the plastic waste created by their own order. I was forced as a customer to step behind the staff register, search around for the trash can, all the while with the staff member intensely and rudely staring at me. I'm not sure if this is standard Bloomies policy to have customers go behind their employee cash registers, but certainly made me feel extremely uncomfortable and disrespected as a customer.

I can but there was nothing for me to buy.and no one to assist. We went to the cafe and watched 4 employees manage to trip over themselves doing nothing. Waited 15 minutes for cappuccinos and another 15 minutes for an avocado toast. When the avocado toast didn’t arrive, we asked how much longer and they said “oh, we don’t have anymore” . Yet no one bothered to tell us. There were only about 6 customers in the cafe - boy, do they need training! I’m a long time Bloomingdale’s loyalist customer. I feel like I was raised in Bloomingdale’s in both Short Hills, NJ and NYC but this boutique Bloomies sadly doesn’t offer me the variety or merchandise I am interested in.
