I went into Homesense today looking for drapes. I love looking around in this store because it has so many awesome finds. Anyway, today I was looking for drapes for my bedroom unfortunately they didn't have what I was looking for. So, I figured I'd buy some goodies to take back to work. When I got to the counter there was sales person I guess behind the counter on the phone, he never acknowledged me, and when he got off the phone he walked away as If I wasn't standing there. He never said anything to me, which was very rude. I work in customer service, and that was unacceptable. The young woman at the end of the counter saw me, and she did acknowledge I was standing there and gave me a smile. The guy salesperson? decided he wanted to help the other customer instead of me, which was crazy because the woman at the end of the counter was already helping her. At that point, since he went on to assist the other customer, the salesperson at the end of the counter wave me to come to her. She was very pleasant and gave great customer service. After that experience, I'm not sure I want to come back there again if that's how customers are treated. Which is sad because there was a rug in there I wanted to buy. But I needed to measure the room to make sure it fit. Maybe I'll find something in the Home...
Read moreI went to the Montrose Crossing center to go to Burlington. I have been in search of a small cross body purse. The great thing is that I was able to find this item fairly quickly. The bad side was that it took about 20 or so minutes to actually get out of the store. As typical with all Burlington stored in Maryland, they never seem to have a sufficient amount of sales clerks working at the registers. They had 2 cashiers attempting to check out a line wrapped down and around the front. Weirdly enough, there was a worker that kept circling around me while I was picking out purses (I bought 3). I'm not sure if she was asset protection, rude, or not working, but they could've used her on the register.
It didn't help that the cashier had a hard time getting the security tags. Additionally, it took me longer than necessary to pick out purses bc the store thought it was smart to place the security tags on the zipper effectively locking them. It made it really hard to see how the purse was made inside. Both of which only helped to...
Read moreThis shopping center has bloomed up front and kind of died in the middle. Front has a slew of new eateries like SlowPoke, Five Guys, a Mediterranean place, but parking is hard as the spaces are few on the Pike side, and the back parking you have to cross where cars travel to go around front. The back has the absent sports authority building now a furniture store, Ross type store and Chinese restaurant remain, the Giant around the corner, Old Navy by itself, and the Barnes and Noble and Starbucks anchoring the other corner. The urban outfitter store also closed, but not sure what is in the corner store. In the farthest back is Target( you would never know if you did not know it was back there), AC Moore craft store, Bob's Discount Furniture and an outdoor shop for plants pottery and trees. There is also the ChikFila and a tiny strip area with a dry cleaner, liquor store and I think...
