I arrived at the hotel on Friday night and stayed until Sunday. The reason for my stay was that my grandmother was in hospice care, and I wanted to see her before leaving. She lives in Enid, OK, and the only reason I chose this hotel was that the options in Enid were subpar, which I wasn't comfortable with. I paid $273 to stay somewhere I felt safe and at ease.
Upon entering the hotel, I noticed there were homeless people everywhere. I even asked the clerk at the front desk if my vehicle would be safe, given the number of people walking through the parking lot.
Fast forward to Sunday morning: I came in late and asked the same clerk where the restroom was. He just waved his right hand dismissively. I mentioned that I had left my key in the room, gave him my ID, and asked if he could issue me another key. He snatched my ID from my hand and told me to hurry up. I ignored him and continued to the restroom.
When I returned to the desk, I asked if I could get a late checkout. He informed me that I could check out at 1:00 PM the following day.
After I left, I noticed two charges on my account for smoking. I do not smoke, so I called to inquire about them. Immediately, Erica, who was at the desk, became defensive. I tried to explain that I don't smoke and requested that she check the room for any signs of smoke, as there was no smell at all. She told me that she trusts the staff, who have been there for over 25 years, and that she didn’t need to check anything.
I reiterated that I don’t smoke and asked if she could look into this. She refused. My card was charged $225, and it felt unjust to be accused of something I didn’t do. I don’t have money to waste, and if I wanted to smoke in a room, I would have chosen a different hotel.
I hope to speak with someone about this issue soon, as I have been falsely accused of having tobacco...
Read moreThe Guest Rooms & Lobby are about what you'd expect, but not from Hilton brands. I thought the price was right but during my four (4) night stay I was frustrated with the bathroom, namely the shower door's rollers were broken and water leaked aggressively. The Lobby & its staff weren't very welcoming at all. The outlets in the lobby are old and need replacement because I was unable to keep anything (iPhone Wall Charger & 3 Prong 19.5v Computer Power Cord) plugged in without rigging my suitcase up against it. I would have thought the front desk staff to be more helpful than questioning why I was in the Lobby and not in my room. To be clear, my father who is ill, was sleeping as I was busy with work assignments to meet a deadline- I wanted to offer him comfort which was rewarded by unprofessional staff.
The breakfast lounge offered continental & cook to order menu items which are not worth it, in my opinion. I would recommend leaving a few minutes earlier and stopping off for coffee or a quick bite. However, the catering staff are extremely helpful, friendly & conversational. They deserve better.
The shuttle driver is awesome! So helpful & quick to help in any way. Problem is, they keep him in a backroom until someone requests the shuttle which doesn't park near the main entrance so if you don't ask you may not be aware the offer the service. The airport is ~3 miles from this venue & Uber is very responsive. I used them twice, once $8.xx & once $10.xx.
It's not like me to post less than 5 star reviews, I like to reward great service, however I stay with Hilton as a Gold Member because of the consistent quality at each venue which far surpass the experience I had during my stay here.

Read moreYes, the hotel is basically clean, but the 2nd floor hallway has smelled nasty for 2 years. The room we stayed in (222) was fairly large, but not any larger than any other hotel at which we have stayed. The people working there were friendly and helpful, but I have two MAJOR problems with this hotel. (1) The toilets are so small that, as a man, I touch the bottom of the inside when I sit down on it. I won't go into detail; just use your imagination and knowledge of anatomy. I used the plural for toilet(s) because I have now stayed there twice and the problem was the same both times in different rooms. (2) for a hotel that has such a world-wide reputation as the Hilton, the accommodations are minimal at best. There are no drawers in the room, and no real refrigerator; just a small, desk type fridge with no freezer. My wife and I bought ice cream to snack on in the evenings, and the only way to prevent it from freezing was to set the fridge so cold that everything in it, salad, fruits, water ... everything .... froze! For such an expensive place, I would think they would benefit by doing a better job of thinking of the customers' needs. I've stayed at hotels half their pricing and had better accommodations. However, they beat the socks off of everyone else when it comes to breakfast. They have the most complete menu and the best setup I have ever seen in a hotel, so that is why I still stay there. I just hope they will do something about the toilet and fridge. If they do I would give them 5 stars in...
