I wasn't gonna post about it at first but seeing as someone else did and was lying about it, I figured I would as well but with what actually happened. I was in the food court the other day, Saturday, having something to eat when I hear someone with a slightly raised voice. They were not yelling though. I look up and saw a family of 8 with a housekeeper and 2 security officers. I guess they were telling the family that they had to put the table that they moved back, and one of the females at the table with just a slightly raised voice seemed to be defensive about it. The housekeeper and security stepped away for a minute then the security walked back up to the family and calmly told the family that they had to put the table back. The security was not hostile like the other review said. The female got defensive again and was calling the security racist. At this point the female of the family is the only one I can hear clearly. Security tells her that he was not being racist towards them at all and they were just going through and getting all the moved table back into the spots they needed to be in since they were called over to help. As she continues being defensive towards security, two of the males in the ladies group let's security take the table so security puts it back into it's spot right behind the tables that the family was sitting at. I can still hear the family calling security racist, and I guess security could to because as soon as they put the table down, 1 of the security officers turns around and talks over the lady to tell her if she continues to be argumentive and disrespectful he can ask her to leave. She begins to argue and get defensive towards the security officer again. The security just repeats himself that if she continues, she can be asked to leave and if she refuses she can be banned, then security walks away. I also did talk to the security officer later on in the day and he told me that it actually is in the rules because it is "messing with and moving mall property in a hazardous manner" since the table was in the walkway and could potentially become a obstacle if EMT's had to come through. In the ladies review she stated that they apologized and that they would move the table back, but she didn't apologize, she immediately got defensive with a raised tone. The only one who was apologetic was security when he walked up and told them he was sorry but they had to move the table back in a calm voice. She also said security walked up and was being hostile but security walked up calm and only raised his voice enough to be heard when the lady was having a raised tone to them, and security did not tell her they had to eat separately or go as take out. She then goes on to add in her review that they pointed out to security that they were being racist? Nothing racist was said or done as I did see workers go up to other tables that moved table around and asked for them to be put back. She then goes on to say in her review that "They proceeded to laugh and he said that if we kept talking back to them they would make sure we would be banned for a year." , but security was not laughing at all and was just telling her if she kept being argumentive and disrespectful that they could ask her to leave. I do think that security should of left it and walked away after they got they table since the lady wasn't gonna stop and saw no wrong in how she was as what her review showed me, but that doesn't give her the right to put false...
Read moreI’ve been going to this mall for 40 years & im so disgusted with the conditions lately i felt compelled to leave a review. The only reason i gave more than one star is there are a few great places inside, but the condition of the main mall area itself is retched. They need new janitorial & repairs. I have a 6 yr old, the kids play area is disgusting & disheveled, along with the rest of the place. I see why they allow dogs in, it really can’t get much worse , I feel like this is a tactic to bring more business &to try to keep from closing, not sure how this place hasn’t shut down yet. I saw one really old lady coming around with a garbage can/cleaning cart , seemed like possibly that was the cleaning person? she didn’t seem to be looking around at all cuz everything was filthy and she didn’t slow she just stared down or straight ahead passing all the filth debris &garbage. Coming in the corridor from the bus station there’s a huge wad of spit someone hawked right on the glass part of the fire extinguisher box all dried up. then you get to the kids play area the carpet is not only filthy with debris that is easily vacuumed up , but it’s also just nasty dingy huge black rings around the benches, benches covered in duct tape, the climbing toys some are not bolted so they tip when kids play on them. The carpet around the massage chairs next to the play area also always filthy. Kids ride on coin operated toys don’t work, change dispensers don’t work, there’s chunks missing out of the floor tiles throughout, it smells like piss in the corridors probably because the bathroom lights don’t work so people piss where they can see????bathroom lights at least in women’s bathroom are actually blue colored bulbs right now so it’s extremely dark, feels like you’re walking into a real sketchy strip club or underground bar , can’t see if it’s clean or what you are sitting in (possibly a tactic so they don’t have to keep them clean?) …not ok for a mom trying to take a kid to go to the bathroom who’s afraid of the dark. We frequent here for Chuck E. Cheese and the library (thank god they maintain their own areas & are way more clean than the rest of the mall) so we see the conditions regularly & it just seems like this place just doesn’t care they are just waiting to go out of business. It’s also pretty hot and stuffy , they have skylights so sun beats in , don’t go on a hot day they don’t run ac at all & it gets real warm unlike most places who keep things somewhat temp controlled. It’s usually pretty empty besides the homeless people trying to stay out of the weather & the people walking their dogs. I’d suggest accessing the bigger stores from the parking lots and avoid the main mall area...
Read moreI am bamboozled by the way my family and I were treated in the food court today. My family and I have been frequently coming to this Mall for the past 13 years to be exact, to visit our family. Together we are a family of 8 so we always grab an extra table with two chairs and connect it with an original table that only fits 6. Anyways, As we are in the middle of eating our food we notice that there are two security guards with one janitor staring and hovering around us for a few minutes. That made us feel uncomfortable but we brushed it off and continued to eat. Until one of the security guards came up to us and proceed to tell us that we aren’t allowed to move the tables and chairs and that we have to put them back. We apologized and told them that we were going to put them back as soon as we finished eating like we’ve always have. We were genuinely shocked because there was never an issue with us moving the tables and chairs for the passed 13 years, and I highly doubt other big families eat separately. The security guards and janitor stood there for a while whispering back-and-forth to each other. This time the security guard with more of a hostile tone proceeded to tell us again that we needed to put them back at that moment and that if we wanted to finish our meal we’ll have to eat separately or take it to go. Umm…Since when has this been a thing?? Nowhere in the food court was a display of rules in terms of seating. That’s when my family and I got offended. My family whose first language isn’t English tried their best to explain and reason. However there was no getting through to them. We put the table back and squished ourselves at a table of six. I called them out on the fact that they were being racist, and what they were doing is rude and disrespectful. Like at least let us finish our food?! They proceeded to laugh and he said that if we kept talking back to them they would make sure we would be banned for a year. What kind of security officer says that to a family who is just trying to eat? This issue could’ve been easily avoided If they had just waited till we had finished or given us a warning for future references. There was still plenty of seating for other people to sit. I just don’t understand why We were the only ones getting treated this way. We brought up the fact that there was a Caucasian family that was slightly smaller a few tables away from us, who had connected extra chairs and a table too. They didn’t say anything to them and proceeded to just walk right past them. This is honestly ridiculous and I hope Other big families don’t get...
