Childhood's End Gallery LLC — Attraction in Olympia

I was looking for a very specific artwork (Tea Blossoms by Yoshiko Yamamoto) and a Google search led me to Childhood's End Gallery. I ordered it - the version on the website shop was unframed, but I was prepared to have it framed, no worries. To my delight, I got an email telling me that they only had a framed version and did I want that? Uh, hell yes!

We drove up to Olympia (from Portland) later in the week to visit the gallery and pick up our artwork only to find another work by the same artist that was exactly what we'd been looking for for a different spot in our house. We took both of those artworks home, along with the cutest needle felted puffin ornament I've ever seen.

This gallery is a very special place that is incredibly accessible in its brilliantly-curated collection. There is truly something lovely for everyone at a wide range of styles and price points. This gallery has everything you could think of: night lights with metal; glass ornaments and bowls; ceramics; wooden boxes; greeting cards; beautiful pieces or garden décor; prints; paintings. I loved the gallery space, one half seemed to be the traditional walk around and view pieces on the wall with the other half being filled with gift ideas. I will definitely be coming back to shop for unique gifts. Wind chimes, bowls, night lights, nail files, jewelry, decorations are just a few gifts I saw. All the staff I came across have been so warm, welcoming, and helpful. I have spoken to the staff on the phone and while visiting I heard how the staff speak to others on the phone, consistent kindness, and helpfulness throughout my experience there. Childhood's End has been an invaluable member of the Olympia downtown community for decades. The artwork is well curated and comes from mainly local artists. As a child, I remember shopping here with my parents and find myself always coming here for pieces for my own house or gifts for friends.
