I was in Cleveland for 2 nights to install cameras and locks on my Uncle's house. The cameras required internet and wifi, and I chose to pick up the equipment from Beachwood store. Unfortunately I was not given the router (only the modem). When I returned to ask for the router, I was told that I had a modem+router combo and that I needed to go home call a number to activate my account. I was given the set of instructions we already received. I was the only customer in the store, there was 3 reps and a manager. The rep talking to me had such disdain for me even being there. I felt like something was not right. I returned to my car and explained to my husband what happened. Since he was installing the unit (but it was my account), he recognized the drawings on the instructions and said, nope we were only given the modem. He then went in to ask for wifi router. Well he returned with the router and was also told that I asked for no wifi. Funny that now I didn't want wifi when before I had equipment that was both modem and router. Which story is true? So here is the crux of this review...why on earth would you as the Customer Rep go thru the pains of the lies instead of just reach in the closet and hand me the router the first time? Why would you not do your job? I had 2 nights in town to get some tasks done and your resistance to doing your job and your dependence on my ignorance to help you avoid work put one of the tasks at risk. Read moreI am rating spectrum because I have experienced something I never thought I would see. I’ve been living in my house for 8 years and recently got new neighbors. A package was delivered to my house and I see the neighbors come get it . First how did they know it was there’s . 2 how did they know it was coming to my house . I did some research and a month later I get mail . Spectrum welcome letter . Apparently they used my address. I call and check and sure enough it is . The man tell me he can’t turn it off cause it’s not my account and I need to go to spectrum with my lease to turn it off . Wow right !! I say ok , then I call back cause I need to speak to someone else cause how did they do this . Next person say well honestly I think it was for a sale . So you telling me spectrum is committing fraud?? Are they allowing ppl to use others address to get cable because they can’t at there address. Ok now I’m upset . So they allowed someone to get cable without showing a lease but want me to get it cut off by showing I live here . I went to the neighbors let them know to take their cable account off my address. Next I called police to make a report. Police tell me I don’t need to . Spectrum then tell me well it’s ok cause you don’t have spectrum it will only be a problem if you get it or move and they get spectrum. Needless to say , I’m still receiving their bill ....
Read moreThis is a huge place. And when I arrive driving very far to get here. I was very tired by the time I found the location. That wasn't greeted right away but that was okay. I didn't really feel like I was helped as much as I could have been. I think people don't really want to help seniors that much. I did finally after about an hour. Quincy helped me and told me what I needed to do when I got home to set up my phone.( PS I was up until 12) This did not make me feel better. But at least I finally got questions answered. I have a lot more to say but I'm just let it be all right for now but I can tell I'm still upset about my experience at this location. Do not expect a lot of special treatment. IT doesn't match the area. ( High end it's Beachwood!) I also think Spectrum should not recommend people to go to the store for help , Also they need to tell you what to expect. .. 1 charge both your phones fully!! GO to your old Carrier to get your transfer code !!!!!!!!!!!! 3. The charger cord at this facility are extremely shorter! Bring your own stuff. 4.
