The worst cook and manager. I asked for the manager apon receiving my plate and showed her the hash browns. She agreed that l should have more and asked if l would like more? I would like what l ordered when served. I did not want more. I tried to eat my veggie omelette after the third fork of food l had to ask mywaitress Ms.Jackie to take it back. Egg shell was in every bite. I was so turned off with my entire plate. The manager never came back to the table to see if everything was o.k. As l was about to go pay for the food my three and seven year old Grandchildren had. The manager came past and as she approaches she asked if everything was ok l told her l was disappointed she never asked why she snatched the check out of my hand and kept walking never asking why l was not pleased. I told her too let me pay for the food the children had she replied over her shoulder she would take the whole check. When she came back into the area l told her l wouldn't return to that lòcation and would be calling the headquarters on her unprofessional act of snatching my check. That nothing like this has ever happened thought out my dining experience. In my telling her she just walked away another unprofessional act. I expressed to her l would also let corporate know how she walked away while talking with the customer. I was told she was not going to argue with me. I told her l'am not arguing with you. I have been on my job twenty-five years and no one will tell you l have those tendencies. Well that is a deformation of my character. I do not have too argue with anyone, l consider that a waste of energy. To make matters worse the floor was wet because one of the worker's had mopped the floor and my Grandson fell. The floor was very wet and no sign was post for caution. If customers are still present. I would think you would start mopping the floor from the opposite direction of the area of exit for customers. Well that did not happen so my Grandson fell. What an experience of just trying too do something nice with your...
Read moreI’ve worked in restaurants and dined out my entire life. This Bob Evan in comparison to any restaurant I’ve had a meal at is the absolute worst. The hostess was not at all polite. When I asked her for a table near the window she did not respond in a professional manner. I should have viewed this as an indicator of what was yet to come. It took the server over 10 minutes to come to the table. The restaurant was not busy. She was polite, took my order and brought me coffee as requested. 30 minutes later still no food and no response from the server. A women was seated 2 tables over and had the same server who took the woman’s order. She never approached me to explain the delay. I started getting very upset and was becoming emotional. Another 10 minutes passed a different server approached me and asked me what I ordered. I told her and another 5 minutes pass and my server brings me the meal. The omelette that I ordered was not the correct one and the edges where shriveled and dry. It sat on a plate that was too hot to touch, obviously it was under the heater for a very long time. I told the server what was missing from my omelet and asked politely for another cup of coffee. 5 minutes pass and no server and no explanation, no corrections made to my order. I started crying and was so upset I couldn’t eat. I left the meal without eating it went to the counter and gave the lady $20. She took it and didn’t say a word to me. I was extremely polite to everyone at the restaurant. I didn’t understand the reason for this treatment. I walked to my car sobbing. I couldn’t wait to leave Bob Evan. I can’t imagine too many customers sharing the same experience as I have and treated in this manner. I do not expect over the top service from anyone however lacking everyday courtesy and professionalism is simply...
Read moreIF I COULD LIST THIS BOB EVANS AS THE WORST BOB EVANS EVER, I WOULD! I DON'T KNOW WHY WE CAN'T USE A NEGATIVE STAR RATING. I love all Bob Evans in general so I wanted to stop in to eat when I was out of town one day. The time was 11:45am. Just before the lunch rush and after breakfast. So not so busy. I was greeted cheerfully and allowed to sit at a choice of 2 separate 1 person booths. Even though they were slow... (No one really in the restaurant.) I didn't want to argue, so I just sat. It was going to be a good day I thought. My waitress came over in a bad mood. Asked me if I knew what I wanted. I responded, I just sat down, but I would like to have a coffee please and thank you. When I finally ordered, I got a special that she pointed to. It was a pancake, egg, hash brown and bacon breakfast. When the food came out, the pancakes were so cold there couldn't even melt the butter but the plate was HOT! ( I sent them back and asked for fresh ones.) My eggs which I got scrambled with cheese were runny. My bacon was so greasy it was sealed to the plate. My hash browns were also cold. At this point, I just wanted my pancakes to be good so I could actually eat. They were blah. So i just ate some. When the waitress came back over to check on me, she said "Here's your check and I know you will enjoy the rest of your day." Then she laughed. As soon as I got home I got sick 😫. I was in the bathroom for the next 3 days. This is not something I am happy to write about but it needs to be shared. Be careful about sending food back or eating in unclean environments or even at non busy times. I just cannot believe an upstanding establishment like Bob Evans WOULD be involved in Food Tampering if...
