Orlando🎁 Budget-Friendly Hotel with Great Access to Disney

This was my first time ever booking a hotel in Orlando! It was right near everything (Disney stuff and Universal stuff, along with MCO) and the room was so comfy and clean! Spacious! Shower head pressure was great and nice hot water. No noise at all in the hallways, pillows were a little thin but I felt the front desk was approachable enough we could have asked for more if we needed them! The bed was firm but still cozy. We prefer firm beds anyway. Bedding was clean and comfy. The location was right near universal-we went to Disney but I loved having the option of both within a half hour of driving! Everything we desired was within a half hour drive. We flew into MCO and it was about a 25-30 min drive. If I could do one thing differently Id maybe get a hotel slightly closer to the airport next time only because we got delayed by 7 hours flying from MA-so it would have been nice to be right next to the hotel since we got to Hilton at 1am and I hate driving that late at night haha. But a half hour was still not bad at all!!!! They were so kind and this hotel had a very easygoing atmosphere. The lobby had the self checkout area for snacks and drinks even alcohol. The vodka seltzer they had was bomb. The tiki bar and pool was a draw for us too. Only thing was a mild smell of garbage near the hot tub but was probably just the trash can since it was nearby. Not too extreme. Guy at the bar was super cool and friendly. We enjoyed the bar area for a few nights and hung out at the pool after being out all day-even if for just an hour-it was nice after a long fun day-since we were busy everyday for most of our stay! It was just a really truly great stay and I definitely see us coming back and having this as our main go-to for Orlando/the surrounding area’s trips! 😍 loved it!

This started off well. I thought I had found the hotel I will revisit monthly when I travel here for work. I enjoyed the quietness of the hotel/area and the friendliness of the front desk staff. I booked a 13 day stay but had to leave on the 11th day because of a number of unfortunate circumstances. I asked for a full service cleaning on the 9th day. I came back to find that the bed was re-made with the same linen as before. Then I woke up on the morning of the 11th day to a roach in the room. I packed up my luggage quickly and checked out. I realized afterwards that I left my phone charger in the room. I called later the same day; they told me I had to call the following day. When I called the following day to speak with the supervisor she told me I have to call back in two days. Apparently, the person who cleaned my room was off for the next two days and I would have to call back when she returns. Tomorrow I guess I will find out if in addition to my other grievances, I can add that the cleaning staff are thieves. I travel for work and spend the better half of each month in hotels. This in the end was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel.

BUYER BEWARE! I went through a travel agent to get this deal at this hotel. I deeply regret it, I thought with this being a Hilton Hotel they would hold themselves to the amazing standard Hilton's are know for, this was not the case, and this hotel may have the Hilton name, but it is not the Hilton brand. Buffalo Lodging owns and operates this location and they clearly do not believe in customer service or safety. I learned this the hard way during my stay at the Hilton Gardens ,on the dates of 09/25/19 through 09/28/19. I intially enjoyed my stay at this property, check-in was seamless and I found my room met all my needs. I checked in and ; as I do wherever I stay, I placed my DND placard on my door. Throughout my stay I had no issues with housekeeping entering my room , unfortunately on the final day my DND was removed by an unknown individual. My room was also entered and nothing was cleaned or refreshed. But my bed was made, and my personal belongings were moved from the bed and placed in my bag. I reentered my room that evening at about 5pm after leaving at approximately 10 am that morning. Imagine my surprise to find my items moved and missing, my bed made, one trash emptied but nothing refreshed. There were no new towels, no toiletries, nothing put away, just my bed made and my items touched and stolen perhaps because none of the items was found or given back to me .

I spoke with the Assistant General Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Maintenance Manager, and an additional employees. My door was read and they were unable to tell me whose key accessed my room. The Housekeeping Manager could not tell me who was assigned to my room for cleaning or who cleaned my room. As a person who worked in hospitality; including housekeeping, I find it disconcerting that none of this information could be given out by their staff. The police were called and a report was filed. I do not feel my concerns as a guest and a customer were taken seriously.

I initially waited to speak with the General Manager Irina Marsee. I've been given the run around for a week, unanswered emails, ignored calls, and even been on hold for extensive periods to which no one ever picked back up. The corporate office is no better. I am absolutely disgusted at the lack of customer service and hospitality that I have been met with. Buffalo Lodging is no Hilton...

We needed a hotel in a perfect location for Universal parks, but didn’t want to stay onsite due to cost and not wanting to stay in a ‘Universal bubble’||We wanted a hotel for 7 nights, ideally no more than around £100 a night. Having booked 2 other hotels before booking this one, but one having reports of bed bugs and another not being within walking distance of City Walk, I finally came across this hotel and thought it sounded perfect for our needs. ||When we arrived at the hotel after a long day travelling we were greeted warmly and check in was the fastest I’ve ever experienced. ||Our room was clean and spacious. There were bottles of water in the room which you could also get more of in reception (all free). The room had air con which you could control in the room, (I’ve stayed in some hotels where you can’t control the temperature of the room yourself) and there were the usual toiletries in the bathroom free to use which is a great touch for cutting down on luggage space. ||Being a Universal Partner Hotel, there were shuttles to and from universal parks. We only used this service once to go to Epic Universe as we enjoyed the 25 or so minute walk to City Walk each morning from the hotel. ||Around the hotel there is another hotel directly opposite, a Wallgreens convenience store and KFC 5 or so minutes walk away and also a 7 eleven and an I-Hop. ||The hotel is also a 10 or so minute walk away from Universal Dockside so after a long day walking round the parks we were able to get the universal transportation bus to Dockside then walk back to the hotel. ||The hotel offers breakfast and snacks at cost but we never used these as we bought breakfast from Wallgreens on our walk to Universal. ||The hotel is also on the Itrolley route. We were going to catch this to go to the premium shopping outlet village but chose to walk instead which was about 30 minutes, broken up by a smaller shopping outlet on route about 15 mins walk away. ||The hotel is about 20 mins ish away from the airport in a taxi which cost us about $60 ||We’re so glad we chose this hotel and if we were to return to Orlando to explore Universal parks again would definitely stay here. I recommend it to anyone wanting an ideal spot for Universal parks but not wanting to stay in a...
