This Plaza is the jewel of downtown Palm Springs. There are not only fantastic restaurants, lovely shops, but the best part are the historic buildings that are the center of this gorgeous plaza. I highly recommend stepping in to the General Store. They do not ask for money, but donations are gently suggested and I always put something in their box. I gently suggest to everyone to do the same. Such generosity is how they are able to provide the public with their great lessons of and a peek into history. I tried the Eggs Benedict with the Tamale, which sounded cool, but I was one tiny tamale that looked store bought with some sauce on top. The restaurant is pretty, but it's pure tourist ambiance. Overpriced. And the server was rude at the end of service, rushing us to cash out. Also, there's an alarmingly large gap in the women's restroom between the wall and the stall.
