'Gangsters, Glitz and Gore' Las Vegas ghost walking tour. Our experience was so dreadful that we left the tour after 30 minutes as it was obvious there was no point wasting anymore time following the tour guide around whilst she hardly spoke and just walked in front with her back to us. We've been on ghost tours all over the world, and never felt the need to leave before the tour had finished before, some are better than others but this was the worst we've ever done by far. The guide was very quietly spoken and didn't look at the audience so it was impossible to hear the small amount of information she did actually say, we were just walking behind her without her talking or explaining what she was going to show us. Her delivery was awful, every short sentence ended with a 'like' and a giggle, with no eye contact. The information she told us was very limited and made no sense. I think suggesting that the areas of water in a modern garden surrounding a modern hotel may be haunted simply because water is a conductor then asking if anyone would like to pay an extra 6 dollars to hire an EMF meter so that we could investigate the water feature was patronising and ridiculous. I spent 85 dollars on the tour for three of us, it was an absolute rip off and con. I contacted the company 'Vegas Ghosts', to complain and ask for a refund but have...
Read moreWent on Halloween night with two friends, we were not impressed at all. We were told about a story of a woman in a blue dress with a hole in her back at Harrahs, don’t talk to her if she’s sits next to you. Who is the Woman is Blue? Why does she have a hole in her back? Why shouldn’t we talk to her? Just “don’t talk to her.” There was no explanation of his stories. The ad mentions hearing stories of mobsters. No mention of any mobsters except Bugsy Siegel and he owed the Flamingo. Common knowledge. Plus we paid for an EMF meter and never were given one. I did not see him give any out. We paid for the extra 30 minutes but didn’t attend. My friends and I were not the only ones looking at each other “what is this guy saying.” He kept saying he is a teacher, but teachers need to keep their students attention. He was not keeping his tour students attentIon on All...
Read moreOur guide was very informative, knew tons of details about Vegas history and dark goings on, and he carried on the tour at a pace that was accessible. I was surprised and grateful that even though only my friend and I registered for tours, we got this personal tour for two. Many companies will just cancel if registration is that low, and as a time limited tourist, it meant a lot I could rely on the tour being kept.
If you have limited mobility, this tour may be challenging but possible. We walked slowly, used escalators to go up and down a few times, but mostly stuck to flat ground.
I’d go again and recommend you do too, but maybe only after you enjoy the casinos in obvious ignorance of their...
