No No No No No No No! I think the only thing that any one will find pleasure and comfort in is from the name of this place. I went here for a pedicure where three two individuals greeted me in their well expected barren shop. I can assure you that I have been to plenty of nail shops and this is the most capacious one I've been to but it lacks and sense of sanitation. Let me first begin by saying that this was during the pandemic. One of the individuals did not have on a mask, and the place and its products and seats are old filled with dust and dander. As I sat down and tried to adjust the seat it gave off a old yelling noise as if a cat had just been thrown across the room, now that I think about it I'm not even sure if the seat ever adjusted. The arm rest was filled with dirt and grime that obviously had been ignored for months on top of months and the floor next to the chairs obviously have not been mopped in some weeks.
With no cogitation of how to run a business during COVID I was greeted by a sweet woman from Cambodia who began to bring over reused filers and nail equipment from other clients. As I could tell the woman who did my feet informed me that she had just been hired in January. She cut my nails too low to the skin and left the shape of them out of kilter. Needless to say I left the place limping as one of my toes had been cut.
This place has so much potential, but the place is just trifling. The garbage tops are lined with old debris and dried up liquid waste and the nail products were topped with dust and caked up product around the nose and necks of the bottles. Now this would make sense especially since that I hope many people are not coming here. The place is just filthy and I for damn sure don't wont old products to be used on my feet that were used on other clients. What a damn shame; you all are definitely lucky I can't leave 0 stars. I am actually disgusted that I gave you my precious time for this review, but I need you all to do MUCH better and for customers to stay away! I would recommend taking "Lotus" of their name. This is not a place you can relax and feel clean at all! What a damn shame Philadelphia...
Read moreI wanted to love this place, as the staff were sweet and friendly. While the prices are up there compared to most salons, I thought it would come with quality given the area. My gel manicure came to $12 more ($35) than the listed price ($23) on the website and pamphlet, which I don't understand. My nail beds are actually much smaller than that average person. Like kids fingers practically. Not like they had to waste extra polish or time evening it. The manicure was also pretty uneven and thin in places, inconsistent at the cuticle, upon closer inspection. My friend got her toes done. The polish came completely off her pinkie toe in less than 48hrs (and it's still winter weather, she hasn't exposed her feet or done anything with them other than bathe and wear socks). Dollar store polish doesn't even come off that quickly so we were both pretty disappointed. Everyone in the place was offered wine except me for whatever reason, had I had wine I would have assumed that's why my manicure was potentially so expensive, like a hidden cost... But alas I had none so...
The perks that MAY bring me back just to support a business are this is one of the only centrally located salons that does dip powder (never had it done but hear good things and if I decide to, this would be convenient, though I'm skeptical if something as simply as gel couldn't be executed well). They have a dog and it seems other people can bring small well behaved dogs as well. I'm a sucker for a place I can bring my little one. They serve wine... which is a nice touch. Could be nicer had I been offered any. They are queer friendly and employ queer people! Probably my favorite part. Everything is clean. No one is rushing you. You don't feel talked about. In fact they don't really talk to one another, they talk to their client. They are also open late (10pm) and for us on that day there was no wait at all. We were...
Read moreSTAY AWAY, AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU ENJOY MISTREATMENT!
The store manager Amy was extremely rude to me. I arrived for my 4 oâclock appointment at 4 oâclock, but sat and waited for an hour. When I mentioned to them my appointment was at 4 oâclock, Amy the manager said very snidely âshe had customersâ.
I asked if I was her customer and if I had an appointment at 4 oâclock? She then started yelling at me and threatened me with this statement, âif I wanted her to do my nails I needed to stop talking. Otherwise I would wait for another hour!â Then she walked away and took another customer and told me âI need to wait for another hourâ.
I am the first customer of this place, but it does not show they care about that at all. The store manager is not the only one acting like this. Another employee Bao, also acts this way. She refused to provide services to me several times. Many times I walked into the Spa and she was sitting there without any customers but she refused to do my nails. There are cat style nails displayed in your spa, but Bao refused to provide the tools to let Victoria to do it for me.
I just found out I have cancer and was hoping I could have a relaxing time at a spa and take my mind off of it for a short bit. I went there again because it is close to my house and saw there was new ownership, I was hopeful they stepped their service, Instead I was yelled at and treated poorly again, just like before. So unfortunately I was wrong and found out you need to avoid this place unless you wish to be mistreated. It is shame that they treat a longtime loyal custom so poorly. It is very unprofessional and I am very...
