Scenic Helicopter Tours: An Unforgettable Aerial Adventure! My recent experience with Scenic Helicopter Tours was nothing short of spectacular, and I can't recommend them highly enough. If you're looking for a unique and breathtaking way to see the beauty of the region, this is absolutely the way to go. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, enjoyable, and incredibly memorable.First and foremost, the "fun" factor is off the charts. There's something inherently exhilarating about taking to the skies in a helicopter. The views are simply unparalleled – sweeping vistas of mountains, valleys, and landmarks that you simply cannot appreciate from the ground. Every turn offered a new perspective and a fresh "wow" moment. Whether it was the lush greenery, the winding rivers, or the distant peaks, the scenery was captivating and made for some truly stunning photos. The sensation of flight itself is a thrill, yet it's also surprisingly smooth and comfortable, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience.Beyond the sheer enjoyment, I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the tour was. For such a premium and unique activity, the value for money was exceptional. I've often found similar experiences to be quite expensive, but Scenic Helicopter Tours offers an accessible way to enjoy a truly once-in-a-lifetime adventure without breaking the bank. It felt like a luxury experience at a very fair cost, making it an excellent option for anyone looking to add a special highlight to their trip.Perhaps the most impactful part of the experience was our super nice guide. Their professionalism, knowledge, and genuinely friendly demeanor made the tour even better. Our pilot was not only highly skilled and made us feel completely safe, but they were also incredibly engaging. They pointed out key landmarks, shared interesting facts about the area, and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. It wasn't just a flight; it was an informative and personalized journey guided by someone who clearly loves what they do. Their passion for the region and for flying was infectious, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to an already fantastic tour.In summary, Scenic Helicopter Tours delivers on every front: thrilling fun, excellent value, and exceptional service from their friendly and knowledgeable team. It's an experience that will leave you with incredible memories and a newfound appreciation for the stunning landscapes of Eastern Tennessee. Don't hesitate – book your flight today!

My girlfriend & I decided to try this to get views of the mountains. We did the Ridge Runner Tour. It was 30 miles, what felt like 20 minutes, and provided good views of both Pigeon Forge, Bluff Mountain, and a quick low level flight. Colin, our pilot, was friendly, informative and smooth on the controls. If you get airsick in planes you might not in the helicopter due to the nature of how it takes off and lands. It was a smooth flight throughout the tour. He did recommend the Ridge Runner and National Park tour if you want views as well. The aircraft we flew in was a Robinson R44. We saw a previous review mentioning headsets. They are in the aircraft ready to go to allow you to talk to the pilot & act as hearing protection. Their website also suggests wearing dark clothing to prevent reflection in the windows for pictures. You are able to take as many photos as you want when in the aircraft, but no photos allowed before/after for safety reasons. As I'm sure someone would walk into the big spinny fan if they were taking photos. For the love of God, if you post a review please mention what tour you did to give some context! It took us forever to decide since there wasn't many reviews narrowing down what tour to buy. Photos included to help you determine if these are the views you are looking for. Also, wish I thought of it earlier but if you google "Scenic Helicopter Tour - (Insert Tour Name Here)" video I got quite a few YouTube hits that show what you will see. Photos via a Pixel 5.

I had never flown in a helicopter and being at a conference without family in Gatlinburg, TN on my own, I took the opportunity to take a flight. Note: Beware of how busy it is in October in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge and the high amount of traffic! I chose the Great Smoky Mountain National Park Tour. It was incredible! The ground crew attendant, Jay, was great to work with and explained the safety briefing quickly and efficiently and got us out to “the choppa” safely. The ride was incredibly smooth and my pilot, Phil, was top notch! He made sure we were comfortable and joked and talked as we flew explaining sights we were seeing and the science behind the blue mist “smokiness” of the Smoky Mountains. He made the flight very enjoyable and was very professional! The flight lasted about 25-30 minutes and flew over Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and then on to the Smokies before coming back around through the Wears Valley and back to Sevierville. You can buy packages or single pics of you with the helicopter and pilot as well as tshirts, hoodies, and souvenirs. There is also a snack bar. This one of the funnest experiences of my life and with all the pictures and video I took, it will never be forgotten! I will definitely go again!

I booked my experience here because of the great reviews.

The booking process was very easy. When I arrived with my 3 boys, the 1st face to greet us was very friendly, unfortunately the only friendly face.

The photographer when we were there the late morning of Monday April 5 was rude, he didnt communicate and the pictures were terrible. Didnt give a warning he was taking them just said get together.

The headphones in the helicopter need updating. I could barely hear with the volume all the way up. It made it frustrating that I couldn't hear the kids reactions.

My oldest was offered a seat up front and when I asked if I could have a photo of him before we took off, the pilot from flint michigan said he wasnt supposed to take pictures. All the money I spent and while elated one of my 3 children could sit up front, we didnt get any pictures of the experience other than the poor quality photo the photographer took with his eyes half open.

Spending nearly 500 dollars may not have been something I would have done if I knew the most popular ride would only be a 15 minute ride and that the staff would hurry you through. Had the staff been more friendly, it wouldn't have been so offensive.

Very disappointing experience to have saved this activity for the kids final fun to have them rushed through and to have paid in advace for poor pictures is something I would not recommended.

EDIT**

I Received a very kind and understanding phone call from the owner of this company. He offered full compensation for the Toure and very professional apology. I understand in the current times that it is difficult to employ qualified persons. The owner of the company was still very disappointed as he strives to provide this family memory. It turns out the 1st friendly face I encountered happened to be from the owner.

Think you for taking the time to call me and voice your concern and for also being generous with your apologies and returning the money that we spent on the Toure. I really appreciate owners who are invested in experience.

We will be giving your Toure a second chance next time...
