We went this past Saturday and had to wait in the drivethru for an hour.we finally made it up to the order screen and had to wait an additional 15 minutes before they came on there to take our order. No apology for the wait at that time was given. The guy taking the order rushed through it barely giving me time to place the order . When we got to the window to pay three guys working there were taking pictures and dancing. They stood there an additional 10 minutes before they took my money and then finally took the peoples order who was sitting at the menu . No reason for it other than they wanted to joke around and waste peoples time. Everyone in the drive through was upset and frustrated. We wasn't the only ones that experienced the wait . They said they were making the food but it wasn't even hot when we got it and I would of complained then but we would of had to wait longer and that wasn't gonna happen . Two of the family members that ate the food was in the bathroom most of the night with an upset stomach. Our pigeon forge experience was great minus the trip to krystals. I recommend you get people in there who take their job serious and do things in a timely prefessional manner. We love krystals and was hoping for a nice visit but was the complete...
Read moreI discovered after I paid that I was charged an additional 4% "total surcharge non-cash adj" fee. As it turns out, they add that fee onto the advertised price of the food. The employees told me that they don't charge the fee themselves, but Visa and Mastercard are charging that fee and they have no control over it. If that is true, then that means those credit card companies are only charging Krystals customers, and only at specific locations, because I've never been charged that fee anywhere else. Further conversation with the employees revealed that this fee was NOT in fact forced onto the customers by Visa and Mastercard. This Krystal (or the owning group) made the conscious decision to charge that fee. This is nothing more than a way for them to extract more money from unsuspecting customers. This is not the kind of company I will do further business with. Beyond that aspect of our experience, the drive-thru took 35 minutes for the seven or so cars ahead of us. The food was as good as I expect from Krystal though, so I will give them that. The employees were nice enough. It was obvious that I'm not the first person who was taken aback by these scummy business practices designed to...
Read moreWe had a Krystal Burger in my home town when I was growing up. As I got older the quality declined, and the place eventually closed down. Still, I had a lot of nostalgia from my younger years when it came to those burgers. The building has never been remodeled, and from time to time I've commented to my son how I miss Krystal when we pass it. When my son and I went to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg this past weekend, we saw a Krystal Burger location and he immediately pointed it out and said he'd like to try it before we went home. I was hesitant, remembering how the one in my hometown wasn't very good in it's last few years of business. Still, I was nostalgic about my childhood, and we ended up stopping there for our final meal in the area before heading home. It was everything I had hoped for and more! The food was prepared perfectly, and it was an awesome blast from the past. I was so pleased to share that memory with my son and have it be a positive experience. We didn't end our trip with disappointment- instead, we had happy, full bellies that took me back in the best way. Thank you...
