Absolutely breathtaking views and a wonderfully smooth journey! The ferry experience, particularly on the Port Townsend-Coupeville route, was an absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we drove our car onto the deck, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, guiding us with smiles and efficiency. Once we were underway, the panoramic views of the water and surrounding landscapes were simply stunning. Whether it was the majestic Olympic Mountains in the distance or the charming Whidbey Island coastline approaching, every angle offered a picturesque scene perfect for photos. We spent most of the journey out on the deck, soaking in the fresh air and the incredible scenery. The convenience of bringing our own vehicle made the adventure even better, allowing us to seamlessly continue our exploration on the other side. This ferry ride wasn't just a means of transport; it was a wonderful experience and a memorable part of our vacation! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic, and well-managed travel experience!

Port Townsend & Coupeville Ferry Terminal: What a lovely and smooth experience on both ends of the Port Townsend–Coupeville ferry route! This 30-minute ride was not only scenic and relaxing but also incredibly convenient and affordable "perfect for our motorcycle trip". We didn’t need a reservation since motorcycles get priority boarding, which was a huge plus. We paid just $12 USD for 2 adults and one motorcycle. such great value! Onboard, the cabin was cozy with fun little touches like puzzles on the tables for entertainment. Drinks and refreshments were also available, making the short ride even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this ferry route if you’re exploring the area it’s efficient, peaceful, and very rider-friendly!

Only giving ⭐️⭐️ to draw people’s attention to this review. The Ferry service and people working here are fine but please do not rely on their posted schedule. Especially during busy time of days or weekends and holidays. They can be running half hour or even an hour behind without warning. If you looked on WSDOT website you may have noticed that they prefer reservations which is find. Just keep in mind if you are traveling to San Juan Islands you will need a reservation for the Anacortes ferry as well. I mention this because if you rely on their schedule you may end up not having enough time to reach your next ferry and end up in stand by and losing your reservation deposit. I have been a regular ferry commuter for almost 7 years now and if you are trying to keep on a schedule and you must use the ferry just give yourself plenty of time and try to arrive 30-45 minutes before the scheduled departure and almost double that for Holidays, weekends, and morning and evening...

I wanted to give a compliment to Washington State Ferries employee Rachel, who works at the ferry toll booth at Port Townsend. My wife and I could not get a reservations on-line for the last two ferries to Coupeville on 08-23-23. Even Standby showed full most of the night. She gave us great advice and worked with us, though, which saved us at least $300 by not being stuck that night in Port Townsend. She ensured we and 4 other cars made the last ferry at 8:30 p.m. It helped the ferry service make maximum use of the ferry and made more revenue for them. Rachel was very friendly and customer-focused. She made a lot of happy customers that night. Too bad WSDOT does not have a place on their website where we can compliment an employee, so I have...
