Very bad.... It appeared to be a good flea market at first but then first impressions can be deciving. We sold at Peddlers Pass for one month and had to leave because of a very unsafe environment. Weekends of excessive drinking, fighting and, smoking of marijuana all from several vendors, and in front of their children. The first weekend was fine.....no drama...just a regular quite weekend with just a few vendors. The second weekend we were there, a vendor had several puppies contained in a small cage without water and covered in puppy poop. That same weekend the folks that set up two booths down from us were smoking marijuana in front of their children and selling it out in the open for all to see. The following weekend, two vendors set up one row over from us and were arguing and threatening to shoot each others dogs. One is a regular vendor and appears to have many issues with people. This was his second altercation in the short time we were there. The last straw was when vendors behind us starting arguing and threatening each other. One of the vendors had been drinking for two days consistently and the management was made aware of his vulgar behavior and did nothing to resolve the issues. The buyers by this time were all leaving and vendors were packing up and leaving it was so bad. The obscenities and threats were very high and people were scared. Myself and another vendor went to find the management which we were told they had left at three o'clock. The caretaker could not be found. We assumed he made his way over to the altercation since it was quite loud. Nope!!!!..... He was nowhere to be found. The lady set up behind us called the police and when we were on the phone with the police they said they had already received a call. The police came and escorted the intoxicated vendor from the premises. The following morning the management and caretaker came to my booth four times. Upset that we had called the police. They weren't concerned about anyone or anyone's well being only that the police were called and to reprimand us for doing so. They were doing all this in front of buyers that were standing around listening. These people that manage Peddlers Pass have not a clue on how to handle a professional flea market. They obviously have something to hide or there wouldn't be a problem having the police involved taking care of issues when they obviously can't. I think if these people that are attempting to run a flea market should not have drugs and alcohol at a so called family event. Things would go so much smoother. The police have been notified of the drugs, alcohol, and threats that are made at Peddlers Pass. Apparently this is a regular problem according to other vendors , police, and buyers that know this place. Its a shame that they have this reputation.... We give a zero...
Read moreI have been here quite a few times for when I come to visit family. It is very interesting with many new and used items along with home made items. The last few times I visited I have noticed a reduction in people that are selling items and those that come to buy. We have two mini dachshunds no heavier than 10 pounds each. As we walk by each of the sellers booths they all admire the dogs. One seller mentioned to me to be extremely careful as other people who come to buy or shop allow there dogs with a very long leash and are very aggressive. He also said that a pit bull had attacked a chowalwa, (sp?) and had killed it. We told him thanks for the advise and proceeded to the next booth. I noticed a tool on another sellers table and walked over to it and about that time a very aggressive white German Shepard bolted out from under the table going straight for my dog. I immediately picked her up and the guy who was holding on to the other end of a very long leash was struggling to pull him back. If this is an on going problem with people bringing in vicious pets then I apparently as other people have concluded by the amount of buyers and sellers that were present is why there isn’t many people coming. This effects both buyers and sellers. I would think that the owners of the facility would want to control that in some manner so as not to be held liable as well. As for the tool that I saw, no sell...
Read moreSome of these reviews are a bit harsh. We have been selling here for several years now. Yes it can be slow at times; The family does their best to run a good family swap meet(especially in this economy now). The bathrooms are clean and the cinnamon crisps are tasty. There is a little bit of everything at this swap meet. I've found some really nice items as well. The comradery amongst the vendors and owners is welcomed. I would've give 5 stars if the booth markers were a bit more legible. All in all, Peddlers pass is a good place to...
