Shop with me (and my sister 😂) at the new @ShopAKIRA that opened in Rhode Island. This is one of my fave stores to check out when I travel, and I'm so excited we have one here in RI now so l don't have to just shop online 🙌🏾😂. #rhodeisland #blackgirltiktok #outfitideas #holidayoutfits #outfitinspo #partyseasoninspo #newyearseveoutfit #lastminuteholidayoutfit #concertoutfit #christmasoutfits #thingstodoinri @Theresa Seyi | Outfit Ideas

Very nice and open shopping mall with tons of stores to shop at. There's also a lot of food options which was nice because I figured a lot of places might still be closed down. The architecture of the mall was also really nice and open and so there was a nice feel to the place. Went to P.F. Chang's near the mall's entrance which was a great restaurant, but also came across Johnny Rockets and a few other restaurants in the food court. I was also surprised to see a Build-A-Bear Workshop here! They also have the classic stores like Macy's and Old Navy, but also a store called Boscov's which had really good prices, but doesn't exist in NYC which is where I live. Something to note is that some people were wearing masks and some people weren't and that was kind of how it went throughout the entire mall so I guess just wear masks if you're unvaccinated or if you're more comfortable wearing one, but when I went it was really confusing because it was like 50/50. I'm vaccinated, but it also felt weird to just walk into a store where all the employees were wearing masks and not wear one.

A Warning about Security at Providence Place Shopping Mall ⚠️ I am writing this review to share an unfortunate experience at Providence Place Shopping Mall. Yesterday, I left my scooter 🛴at the bike rack outside, only to find it stolen after a mere 30 minutes. The mall security's response to my distress was highly disappointing. Their dismissive attitude was not only unhelpful but also indicated a lack of interest and empathy towards those they are supposed to protect. Instead of immediate action or assistance, I was merely handed a number. Eventually, I received a text stating that they were unable to help, without any attempt made to review the security footage. This incident raises serious concerns about the safety of belongings left outside the mall and the effectiveness of the mall's security service. It is evident that they are more negligent than vigilant, providing little to no assistance when truly needed. In light of my experience, I urge all visitors to Providence Place Shopping Mall to be wary. While it's a great place to shop, the lack of adequate security and service can lead to potential losses and frustration. Ensure to take additional precautions to protect your belongings. I truly hope no one else experiences the distress and disappointment that I went through due to the lack of basic security measures and negligence on part of the mall authorities.

This is a really nice mall that appears to be doing well in an era in which malls are typically on the decline. Been here for many reasons, from buying Christmas presents at one of the little stores to getting bubble tea to seeing Oppenheimer at the IMAX theater on the top floor. Not to mention the many Cheesecake Factory runs I've made over the years. They recently opened a Brazilian steakhouse that I intend to pay a visit to one day. All this with the added benefit of having an attached parking garage that is inexpensive to park at and is so massive that I don't think it will ever be 100% full. It's honestly a great place to park even if you aren't visiting the mall, as the one side is right next to 95 and is easily accessible from that highway, while the other side is the pedestrian-friendly downtown with the waterfront park and lots of other places within a reasonable walking distance.

As for the mall itself, I have seen many versions of it and many changes since it very first opened. Some periods of time it has been better and even a regular go to location. During 2010 to 2015 is when I hung out their with friends the most. Utilized restaurants, movies, and friendly browsing with friends or dates. But other time frames also had a regularity. In the past 4 years my main annual trip has been during the 12 or 13 days of Christmas 🎄. The Epiphany. We go to do our big annual shopping at Boscovs and this year we had fun. Usually find a few deals and leave happy! Now a regular tradition. What I currently do not like is the Japanese type restaurant in the food court that shorted us meat, particularly beef on our orders as I watched them pile up the orders of all others. But enjoy the Mall for future Holidays!! Thanks Boscovs!!
