We just returned from our third stay at Crew's Nest and needless to say, it will be our last visit there. Upon checkout... We visited the pool for one afternoon, had a couple of drinks and ordered lunch from the pool bar, we were shocked when we received a pool bar bill of $208. This amount seems to have other peoples drinks on it or perhaps you should reconsider the pricing of your food and drinks. The previous two stays, we were advised that we can take ice out of the cooler, and we settle up with the office upon checkout. We were not advised of a different policy upon checking in. When we checked out, the boss of the person checking us out asked "are you the group that stole the ice?". She continued to talk about how we "stole" ice the entire time we were checking out. We followed the policy that we understood as the correct policy. We PAID for the ice we used upon checkout. Perhaps you should add a sign onto the ice machine that describes your policy, and we would have been happy to follow it. Better yet, explain your policy to people when they check in.
It is disheartening to know that we spent more than $2,000 with you and we were accused of stealing. Due to this business ethic, we will not be staying with you in the future and we will share this unfortunate experience with our...
Read moreWe have had membership for 3 years @ $900 a year socially with dockage. We work a ton and have only been able to visit only twice. We came in with double engine trouble that happened underway. That said my husband is a mechanic and we had the parts we needed to do the repair we just needed one tool. We asked for a local mechanic, and checked around with a few other boaters and found the tool we needed. The Lady behind the desk actually told us we had to be towed out, and even said doesn't your insurance cover a Tow??? There was 0 customer service associated with our experience with the front office. Ever hear of safe harbor? We were there for 4-5 hours which we had reserved and paid for a full night, and we fixed the boat and left. Very disappointed. The first time we were there we had a blast. Just avoid the red head...
Read moreThe food is solid, but not remarkable. The one exception is the cider vinegar dressing. It was light and refreshing and delightful. The service was good. You need to be staying at their facilities or be a member to eat here. The view is fabulous. The porch is well appointed. Many no alcohol choices. Full bar available for alcoholic beverages. The Mahi Mahi tacos were a little fishy and seemed like they may have been a precut frozen fish. The ABC and porch basket were good. The lobster cigars were the best item we ate. Different, hot, and...
