Day we got there no one was in office to check us in . They closed at 5pm we arrived at 4;30pm and the office was locked with a sign on the door to check in at commodore resort . we did that|| then we Went to room checked bed there was a bed with a mattress a big piece of ply wood in the middle then a box spring with plastic still on it. Bed was as hard as a rock. the blanket was a thin quilt , there was no way of getting extra blankets or towels or any thing for that matter . not even the wi fi code. The person i was with had no cell use at all . the floors were dirty turned my socks black. there were spider webs in the bathroom . not very clean. but seemed like newer furniture. The room its self is small, but if you don't plan on being there expect for sleeping its doable,, ac blows in Ur face. the ac is completely on and when it hits the temp you set it at shuts of for a minute then its a sauna in the room no happy medium .|| The room is dark it needs more lighting The t.v only got one station. We went to the commodore resort to see if they could help with t.v they were unable as its not there hotel but said they would let maintained know, by that time we would have been checked out all ready. They have a Strick no late check out. also I Looked under the bed there was a bloody wash cloth under there who knows how long it was there. and they have a Strick book of how you can not use towels for removal of make up and what not. so how did they not notice the ppl before us left that wash cloth or they just dont clean properly. or both || Oh and there is no where to park ur golf cart in there driveway. so good luck finding some were convenient and close to hotel where your not blocking anyone. Went to check out next day this time no one was in the office waited for 15 minutes. went back to commodore resort they said lady at victory is cleaning the rooms also works the office. so i guess there short staffed .all the running to commodore resort mine as well have stayed there. they ppl at desk 24 hours. IT was my first time there and last. to much running to commodore hotel. which by the way the pools they advertise are also at the commodore...
Read moreThe young lady and gentleman staff who answered the 419 285 0120 number, told us to go to the Commodore parking spots even if I said we’ve got reservations with Victory Station Hotel. Three of their staff sent us driving around twice with incorrect directions. After our 2nd pass through the alley, we inquired by the door of the Commodore lobby with a Subway food place staff, she told us that the check-in is not there. We rang the number a third time, a mature lady cared to come out to the alley to assure us that we can park there and told us that those who gave us directions are new.||||When we finally spoke to the Victory Station Hotel staff who were in the laundry room, no room was clean, we could not check in until 5 pm, and he would call us. Our confirmed reservation stated that check-in is at 4 pm. No call came at 5. When we returned, the staff said she was about to call us that we could finally check in. That was at almost 6 pm.||||There is no bathroom other than in the room. One has to go to the golf cart rental office next door in order to use their bathroom cum storeroom. It is clean though.||||Cleanliness is not a priority here. There was an insect crawling on the floor that brought my attention under the bed. Dusty!||I had to dust the wooden headboard. ||The balcony seats have one cushion on the floor, littered, has bird poop, dust and stains. It could be hosed, tidied and dusted. ||The Mikado toiletries look like quality brand but made in China. US-made bath products remain affordable. Towels are shifting to off-white and stained.||||To be fair, the bed is comfortable, furniture set is tastefully designed quality wood, the bathroom and sink appears clean. The wall clock looks elegant. The floor is relatively new and in good condition. It is the only room, 7, with two side windows facing Catawba Lane. This hotel stands perpendicular to the road.||||Too pricey a room at $658. 93 for three nights with no complimentary breakfast and the many inconveniences we experienced...

Walking distance to the pier, golf cart rentals right next door. ||Noise was to be expected and we knew the rooms had no furniture other than the bed from the reviews so we came complain about it . The wall AC unit blasted us with ice cold air and is we turned it down it got hot quickly. The room was dark and cavelike with one small window. ||The most important thing to me in any stay is cleanliness.||I can not handle the dirty surfaces (I don’t even want to know what that was on the bedside table that was making it so sticky). |The bathroom countertop was covered in dirty water spots and glass rings all over it and we did not have any drinks in the room.
