Dear Mr. Kim, I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an incident that transpired at the KP Plaza Rancho branch on August 13th, 2023, around 12 pm.
My family and I had an unsettling experience that left us feeling disrespected and frustrated. I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention as a loyal customer.
My wife, child, and I were subjected to an unpleasant encounter when we simply inquired about a store policy. It is disheartening that such an incident could occur in this day and age. I believe that further education and training are essential for the employee, John C, who handled the situation. His demeanor and communication style were markedly below the standards upheld by your other staff members. This is not the first instance of such behavior; however, this time, I feel compelled to raise a flag on this issue. Regarding the store's policy on not allowing food and drink, I believe a more comprehensive explanation is warranted, rather than a curt dismissal of the matter. While I understand the concern for potential spills and messes, we had taken care to bring a sealed water bottle for my 6-year-old son, who frequently gets thirsty. The bottle was unlikely to cause any mess, and we approached the situation with utmost respect for the store's policies. Unfortunately, John C's response was aggressive and disrespectful, leaving us feeling devalued as customers. We were treated in a manner that does not reflect the values of your establishment. It pains me to think that a visit to KP Plaza Rancho could lead to such a negative experience. The impact of this incident goes beyond a single unpleasant encounter. My young son was left wondering why he was treated rudely and what we had done to deserve such treatment. I am sure you can understand how troubling this is for a parent. Read moreThis was my first time to the international market and I was really excited to see so many new and different foods and grocery items available for such reasonable prices... Also I'm excited about the seafood and butcher selections... Bought two nice big halibut steaks for only $20 last week which would normally be closer to 50 and it was absolutely amazing... highly recommend
July 2018 update.... the seafood several times since my last review however I have to disclose that the last two times I had halibut in the salmon it had numerous worms in it... The hell of it had red worms the same and has white worms it really freaked me out... The last time I saw worms in Market Fish was about 12 years ago when I had red snapper to Safeway... I realize bottom feeders will tend to have worms but I believe that a proper fishmonger or store will do candling and remove most of the worms when possible these worms are on the surface and obviously had not been candled or physically checked.... I took out the worms as best I could from the halibut and cooked it extra long two temperature that would kill them however I only ate a little bit and me and my son both had stomach aches later although I never told him about the worms my stomach hasn't seemed right for about a week after eating it so I don't think I'll eat the fish there again... I did call them and brought it to their attention in the fish department said they had never seen worms ever ever on their fish which to me sounds not accurate cuz we all know fish has worms in it from time to time I left a message for the manager to call me back and he never called me back... I contacted health department and they indicated that worms will have fish on them and it's not a health violation but rather a customer service issue... I found that strange as I saw many news articles about Costco fish having worms in the health department shutting them down so not really clear about this but I'm not comfortable buying Seafood there any longer... Although I did read you can soak it in cold water and when I did that with the salmon the worms did come out but again I think I prefer to buy wild-caught frozen fish from now on so I don't have to deal with worms.... if anyone has any other feedback I love to hear it because I was so excited about the great tasting seafood at...

I found bugs in the bread from their bakery. Twice in a row!!!!! First one was from their soboro bread And second one was from mommos? Bread.
I know but this is my first fault. First one was even a live fruit fly. I didn't complain about first one because i was too tired to go back to KP. But after i found bugs from second one (not even one) i had to.
After that i went to their customer service and customer service lady asked me if i have a receipt. Which i didn't have. I know it's my fault that i lost the reciept but i don't usually expect bugs from the bread and keep the reciept for that reason.
But if the receipt were really matter, they could've checked their camera. It's everywhere. Customer service lady said without receipt she won't do anything about my problem. Didn't even check up my bread. It was really disappointing. I go to KP at least twice a week. And can't be more disappointed.
I don't need that couple dollars refund. The point is they didn't even check my bread and kept saying we get bread every morning and there's no way there can be bugs in there.
If you want to be working in the customer service you need to listen to customer. It's not just for return. Literally it's damn "Customer Service." Not refund service.
I'll never ever buy their bakery and will report this for other customers.
