I’m writing to file a formal complaint about my experience with Mr. Fix, a company that failed to resolve my computer issues and created more problems. This has been frustrating and costly, and I want to share the details to warn others.
I brought my computer to Mr. Fix for a simple issue, hoping for a quick fix. I was told it would be sent to their Philadelphia location for further inspection. Unfortunately, the team there not only failed to fix the original issue but caused more problems, making my computer unusable. When I received it back, the original problem was still unresolved, and new issues had made things worse.
Communication was poor. I had to chase updates, and when I did hear back, the responses were vague and unhelpful. I felt ignored, and it was clear Mr. Fix didn’t prioritize timeliness or quality.
When I requested new parts, it took months to source them. Even after the parts finally arrived, they were either broken or malfunctioning, further delaying progress.
This entire process lacked urgency and professionalism. Timelines were ignored, and Mr. Fix seemed more interested in making excuses than resolving the issue. After months of wasted time, I’m left with a computer in worse condition, no resolution, and money spent on failed repairs.

Read moreLate, botched, and messy repair. I brought in an iPhone 12 mini to get the back glass repair fixed, dropping it off around 3:30 on a weekday. I made clear that I didn't need it day-of, and that I was happy to come back the next day to pick it up. When 4:30 the next day came around, I called to see if it was ready (because I hadn't heard anything), and the person on the other end of the phone seemed confused, but eventually found my phone and confirmed that it wouldn't be ready for another day. So, on the next day, I called again at 11am to see if it was ready yet, and the clerk said it was indeed not ready, and this time said I should try back at end of day. I gave up and just drove into town to pick it up, broken or not, and found that they had replaced the screen, and it had been ready for hours, but they hadn't notified me. However, there was glue coming out of all of the back seams, and most disappointingly, whichever tech repaired it left a big smudge of something on the inside of the camera lens, meaning that now, any photo I take has the gray haze of whatever was on this tech's fingers when they put this back together. I mentioned this to the cashier and his response was something to the tune of "that sucks!" A week later, the metal rings around the camera came loose, presumptively because of this haphazard reconstruction. Really...
Read moreI'll change this review if they fix my phone. I took it down there on 9/1/2020 for a tiny crack on the bottom of the screen. Nothing else was wrong with the phone. Everything worked fine. They fixed the screen but broke my front camera in the process. They said they'd fix the camera for free. I've taken the phone back to them 4 or 5 times now to get the camera fixed and it still doesn't work. I'm bringing it back to them yet again today, 12/20/2020. They don't call when they get the part and they don't call when they're done with the phone. I have to call and check. I do appreciate that they are fixing it for free, which they should since nothing was wrong with it before I brought it in, so kudos on that part. Again, if they fix it I'll happily delete this review and write a better one.
So, I took it back down there for the umpteenth time and they still didn't fix it. This time they gave up and told me to take it somewhere else. No refund, nothing. Not to mention yet again they said it would be ready in an hour or two and that they'd call me when it was ready. They never called. I called several hours later and they said come pick it up.
