Made In The Mitten — Attraction in Royal Oak

Prepaid and was given wrong size and colors for a Christmas baby gift when I went to pick up my items which took longer than the estimated timeframe provided. I am grateful I LOOKED in my bag before leaving the store because the ONLY thing the owner mentioned is that the shade of pink was a little different. Turned out that it also had the wrong sleeve length and was the incorrect size BY 6 MONTHS (which I thought it looked large and when I questioned it she dismissed me with a line about different brands running larger or smaller). Funny thing is, it was the SAME brand as the other onsie, and when I told her that it was a size 12mth instead of 6mth- she asked me if I wanted it anyway and it is what it is as their stock is limited. The other onsie was grey instead of the cute mint color I ordered too. She was totally INDIFFERENT to the fact that I had paid ahead of time and was never notified that they did not have the actual items in stock and instead made me wait weeks for items I could not use and therefore was unable to provide a timely Christmas gift. She acted annoyed that I was even questioning the size differences. My husband can attest that the customer service was horrible. I don't really write reviews, but I still can't believe the experience I had- and that when I asked for a proof of refund, I was told she was too busy to do it right then and that I could find it later in my email. Zero consideration for their errors and lack of communication. So much for trying to support local, I ended up ordering off etsy and received my items correct and in a reasonable time. I’m not sure how you did not notice that I left and did not return but yes I will elaborate. I understand not advertising a public restroom. However being sent next door to an establishment that has a sign explaining the restroom is for customers only was frustrating. Then I come back and instead of being a kind human and letting my child use your facility (I’m guessing you don’t walk next door for a restroom), you send me across the street to a church. I then decided to have lunch at the taproom so my son could use the restroom while my aunt who was in town from Texas could finish shopping (she kindly assumed you must be having a bad day). My sister as well as my mom and myself had planned on making purchases. Especially since the last attempt we made at visiting your store was a fail due to the handwritten sign on the door that you were ‘out’. Kudos to you for being a super prepared mom! This experience definitely makes me appreciate the kind store owners who have not thought twice if my child has had a bathroom emergency. I definitely will not be returning and I hope that when your child gets older you encounter much more understanding...

I wanted to shop at local merchants in Royal Oak. I like doing business with small shops,and it is all Michigan made.I stopped in a bought some items,but when i got home,i checked my receipt and was charged more than what the price tag said. I also checked the expiration date on the bloody Mary seasoning,it expired July of 2020,i was there in September of 2021! Please have staff check dates please.Just a good business practice.I thought i would give this business another chance around Christmas time for 2 gifts for my wife and her sister.Ordered 2 coffee mugs,paid for them on pay pal,never were shipped,went by the store because they said they would be open on certain days,nope not there!
