Really nice place with a comfortable vibe. Service was excellent. Our waiter was a newbie and his manager watched him as he served us. He did a great job. Drink menu was extensive. Seems to me that they specialize in Bourbon and local beers that's right up my alley. The salad was plentiful and fresh. Liked the balsamic vinegar dressing. I had the half chicken and ribs with brisket chili. My wife ordered the burnt end sandwich and mac and cheese. The ribs were smoked well. Excellent smoke. Chicken was huge and juicy. My only strike was that the meat wasn't seasoned. I understand that restaurants have to cater to different taste and because they have wonderful bbq sauces that they often want you to use the sauce for seasoning. Next time I'll ask the to apply their rub before serving. My wife gave the burnt end sandwich 7 out of 10. I tasted it and gave it a 9. Great smoke, well seasoned and tender. Wife loved the mac and cheese and would not share lol. Loved the hot tin roof bbq sauce. Brisket chili was too sweet. Tomatoes in the chili were fresh.

When visiting DOCO prior to major events at Golden 1 Center, make a reservation. We went 2 nights in a row & the wait to sit & dine was 1+ hours at the highest demand locations. The 1st night we opted to get food in Golden 1 Center but the selection & quality of food leave much to be desired. Chicken Strips & Pizza pass, salad pass, even the nachos & popcorn pass. The 2nd night we got there even earlier & still limited options if you wanted to actually relax, eat, & not have to race to event. The parking is pretty great. Usually you can park across the street in various garage options. Prior purchase of parking is recommended but not necessary if you get there early. The lack of updated traffic info trying to leave event is ridiculous. Interstate 5 South has been closed for months yet NO signage leading to an actual detour. The lack of traffic control is mind blowing. The lack of signage telling you eating option direction is annoying. When you exit or enter G1C, you are herded into various entrance/exits so you may not know which side of building you’re on. DOCO & Downtown Sac, update & improve your signage.

Went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Amazing venue, easy access to parking that is convenient to the location of the entrance to the Golden 1 Center. There are several metal detectors placed in the front of the entrance, it is no bag policy unless it it clear plastic. (I did see them searching a few bags for special occasions) One thing that is happening in more and more places is that this is a CASHLESS establishment. The sections are well marked and easy to find. The seating was great, it didn't look like there was a bad seat in the place. I was in section 109 row t and the show was great, actually wishing I would have got seats higher up.
