I’ve been with them since birth and as an adult I’m very sad to say I’ve had the worst experiences with the doctors here at Kaiser I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 5 1/2 years ago and I was discriminated against, every diagnosis I’ve had excruciating headaches, severe neuropathy in my feet and hands that prevented me from being able to work, weakness, dizzy spells, I suffer from iron deficiency anemia, bilateral mastodynia, atopic eczema, asthma, generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, recurrent episodes, PTSD, and abnormal uterine bleeding due to ovulatory disfunction, severe memory loss, vitamin C and D deficiency and insomnia .I finally got the courage to except treatment aka (10 different medications) and from the time I was diagnosed to my current diagnoses I have been neglected by every doctor I’ve come into contact with my first doctor Hana Clark in rohnert park ca was very insensitive to my ongoing health conditions and made me so uncomfortable I was scared to talk to her or show up for appointments because I felt like instead of getting to know me and how to help with my symptoms she just made an excuse for everything and would tell me it wasn’t serious I had inflammation on my brain from a fall got no treatment and still suffering from headaches! After a car accident I was experiencing excruciating pain from my neck to my spine and it has traveled to my lower back and left leg due to my spine being pushed out of place from the accident and it has gone untreated due to the neglect! She wouldn’t sign for me to be off work I had to beg because of the pain I was having. I was so depressed and scared for health and life because around Covid my symptoms got worse I got the flu and was so sick I lost my job because she wouldn’t give me the time off for anything! After loosing my job I begged for her to help me get disability because I was feeling my self deteriorating and it was to the point I attempted to take my life twice after! I felt helpless and like my doctor hated me I couldn’t piece together why someone that was supposed to help me and support my overall health always told me she couldn’t! But when she wanted to give me a new medication she was always available! I could never get an appointment with her I always had to wait weeks months at a time because she was “never in office” even when I tried to send an email! I’m very traumatized from the way she treated me and she would have other doctors email me belittling my symptoms and telling me there was nothing they could do for me. I switched doctors a while after to Keisha Hughes at the Santa Rosa ca location and thought I would receive a better experience but unfortunately it was just the same probably worse and has been the same ever since due to homelessness and not receiving proper treatment I lost everything my mental health got worse I attempted again and was sent to the psych ward and haven’t been the same since my life and lively hood was destroyed all because my doctors didn’t give me the equal chance to heal properly. I am currently in a crisis residential and have switched over from Sonoma County Kaiser to Sacramento County Kaiser and nothing has changed I’m still homeless and my mental state has gotten worse after switch over counties I was encouraged by a Kaiser psychiatrist at sierra vista mental health hospital to apply for SSI and assistance from the county and after switching over doctors I have not accomplished anything besides not being mentally or physically well! My current doctor Tessy Meridores never scheduled an appointment with me, never reached out and when I finally got an appointment with her recently I was nervous and scared tried my best to explain a lot of the things I’ve been going through and she told me she couldn’t help she doesn’t know me she also refuses to sign the form and told me to go through medical records I’ve been given the run around for years now. I’m also a blk woman and I know the world hates us including Kaiser! If you are of color I...
Read moreAt this facility, other than the MA, the experience was disappointing. The check in was delayed to affect my appointment because one of the staff members was in training and unable to find my name after over 25 years as a Kaiser member, which reduced my appointment time and caused the doctor to limit what was addressed. The check in staff shared it was an annual physical but the doctor explained it was only time enough for a skin cancer check when I had other issues to discuss and she referred me back to my doctor. I explained to her that my doctor was negligent and incompetent and hadn't helped improve my quality of life in over four years, so this was a 2nd opinion, but she only agreed to time for a skin check. I believe they are colleagues and Dr. Arora did not want to step on any toes when Dr. Arora should remember her job is to serve Kaiser's members, not her colleagues or herself. Furthermore, I'm extremely uncomfortable having a primary care doctor responsible for identifying skin cancer returns as a patient in 2020 that already had skin cancer. I should get a direct referral for an annual check from an expert in skin cancer and not a base level doctor without special training and expertise in dermatology. I'm very uncomfortable with how minimally she checked my body for areas of concern. She also offered to freeze three areas in a sudden effort that required a decision and thereafter I wonder, had she been wrong and it wasn't a benign concern, what if this affects future identification? How much skin cancer training and expertise do primary doctors get to be put in this position to ask patients to rely on their decision about identifying skin cancer just to help avoid a real dermatology referral where I would expect and trust the call to be made by a "dermatologist. " The trust is unfair to expect and the process and casual eye is concerning after knowing I've had skin cancer already. It was a waste of time to be limited to a skin cancer evaluation when I have other symptoms I mentioned and was told there was no time. The follow up care after freezing the areas was also unclear. What should be very clear as well is that doctors work for paying members, not themselves, not their colleagues and not Kaiser, and members should not be left as the last consideration as it makes doctors look incompetent and negligent in the end. It's becoming noticeable and concerning with several Kaiser members deserving of the quality care promised in Kaiser's...
Read moreVery bad customer service and doctor always cancel appointments. I called on January 2nd to schedule an appointment with Dr. Tessy Meridores for January 19th at 9:40 am. Today January 18th at 1:44 PM a female staff member called my phone to tell me that my doctor's appointment must be changed because the doctor is out of the office tomorrow. I have an urgent skin problem, I need to see my doctor as soon as possible. I asked if I could arrange the appointment until next week, but she refused me and told me that it could only be arranged until February 9. I continued to ask her to send a message to the doctor to inquire, and she thought I was being rude to her. She said I don't want to talk to you, I'll let the manager talk to you. Then after a while she told me the manager wasn't there, told me again that she didn't want to talk to someone who disrespected her and the she hung up on me, and she didn't reschedule me a new appointment. I asked her name twice and she refused to tell me her name.So I'd like to ask this lady, do you respect me?I think you're afraid I'm gonna complain about you, so you're not telling me your name. This is the first time I've seen this terrible medical service. I filed a complaint with kaiser. This is a bad kaiser center. They cancel your appointments easily and treat you rudely, like a piece of trash. I think the doctor is also very irresponsible. She told me to cancel the appointment a day in advance. If she had told me a week in advance, I could have gone to find another doctor. My skin problems became severe, my skin started to itch, I didn't get medication, my previous medication had run out. This customer service agent called me to cancel the appointment. I just wanted her to help me arrange an appointment as soon as possible. She showed impatience and did not want to talk to me, and hung up on me. And refused to tell me her name. I've never seen this kind of phone service before. Can a hospital attendant hang up the phone and tell me that she doesn't want to talk to me? Why did kaiser give her this job if she didn't want to talk to me and help customer...
