I booked a table for my fiancés bday to try their Taco Tuesday menu. Everything started out great, drinks were good and the staff was very nice. We all ordered our food (tacos) and half of our party received their food while the rest of us sat for over an hour waiting. Mind you there was another larger party in the restaurant but it was not a full house. That party came well after us but had food coming while again we waited for our food. Then we were told they had to make that party’s food first then make ours, oh and they ran out of plates. When we finally got our food it was cold, and the tacos were not the same as the ones the previously brought out. It felt like we got the leftover scraps from the kitchen.
No manager came to apologize and I had to ask for our late food to be comped. Just disappointed because any other restaurant someone would have come and offered us at least an apology. Our waitress did her best but it’s not her fault food wasn’t ready. I just think this could’ve been handled better because now we don’t even want to come back and this was all our first experience at this restaurant. We still made the best of the time but it sucks they lowkey messed up my man’s bday dinner. The manage definitely should have come by and spoken to us. I’ll stick to the restaurants I know from now on, it’s unfortunate because we live walking distance and were excited to try this place out. But no thank you if that’s how they...
Read moreI love coming here during hh with co workers. We work 2 blocks away and if we are looking for somewhere with a nice view, comfy chairs, not too loud music then we come here. We get to sit outside where it's kind of shaded with a light breeze the couple times we come here. Perfect for dates. . So we usually come here for happy hour. So the drinks are not cheap and they are average but we love the vibe and relaxation we come here. . When we chill in the seats with a light breeze it is very nice. Feels like we are on vacation. Also a view to view midtown sacramento. . I did try the raw oysters which was great quality and good. I did order a champagne from the happy hour menu but make sure ask which champagne is on happy hour price because I got charged with the most expensive champagne which was 17 a glass and the server never asked which champagne I want when I just order it from the happy hour menu so make sure. Otherwise you might be paying for the expensive one. . We dont have to dress up for this place during happy hour. We are usually casual in not shorts but sometimes sneakers and a button up with a tshirt underneath during happy hour. . They do take cards and cash. . The entrance one of the elevators which says on the button when you get in. Or may ask the people who work inside to direct you. . We usually just walk over and rarely drive to come here. So if you need to parking park in the downtown plaza garage not the macy...
Read moreSerious I had the worst Thanksgiving day experience! Why? Because the hotel decided to lie to me and my gf twice about this place being open. It all started when my gf made a thanksgiving reservation online on their website and then wanted to confirm by calling and the person over the phone told her that it was closed. Then I thought it was strange because usually they’d open because it was situated inside a hotel for guests that were visiting for the holidays. So I called to reconfirm with the hotel and they told me straight up that it would be open on thanksgiving starting at 4pm. So then I drove myself up from the Bay Area to spend time with my gf. Little did we know, we showed up around 7pm to only find that it was closed and even the security guy up on the 3rd floor told us that it was closed until NYE.
So let me get this straight. I drove 100 miles to have thanksgiving at the Revival and now you’re telling me it’s closed? My gf and I had no choice but to end up spending it at Denny’s?! Not what I had imagine. There were no apologies or any suggestion of perhaps compd drinks or food for when I come back again.
I really hope management see this and can empathize with me because nobody wants to be driving 100 miles from the Bay Area to end up eating a Denny’s after a mistake made by the...
