The Roots Coffee in the Doco area of downtown Sacramento is a breath of fresh air for coffee enthusiasts looking to step away from the mainstream. Tucked slightly off the main foot traffic, this cozy, trendy spot is a hidden gem that offers a more intimate and handcrafted coffee experience compared to the chain options in the area. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is lively and welcoming. The modern, rustic decor paired with friendly baristas creates an atmosphere that’s both cool and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a seat, relax, and truly enjoy your coffee without feeling rushed. Speaking of coffee, The Roots takes pride in their handcrafted approach. Each cup is made with care, showcasing high-quality beans and a dedication to the craft. Whether you’re in the mood for a smooth pour-over, a creamy latte, or a refreshing cold brew, their menu has something to satisfy every coffee craving. The attention to detail and the passion for coffee here is evident in every sip. What sets The Roots apart is its commitment to offering something special and unique. It’s not just about the coffee—it’s about the experience. The shop’s slightly off-the-beaten-path location adds to its charm, making it a perfect spot for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown while still enjoying a vibrant, community-focused environment. If you’re tired of the same old Starbucks routine and want to support a local business that truly cares about quality, The Roots Coffee is the place to go. It’s trendy, it’s lively, and it’s a wonderful reminder of how good coffee can be when it’s made with passion and precision. Don’t miss out on this Delco gem!

Thank you to Chelsea and Daphny for excellent 5 star customer service today! The Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte with coconut milk was perfectly sweet and the apple crossover was enough goodness to share! It was so nice to locate a local shop that has a healthy amount of dairy-free options and patronizing supporters without a huge line or stressful atmosphere where folks are in a rush. I also appreciated the delicate aroma of coffee instead of the usual acidic heaviness that comes from most popular places where you can smell the old coffee grounds in the air and the smell takes over your vehicle or worse it clings to your entire outfit! Needless to say this was the perfect spot to start my paintings off with a pop! My car smelled like sweet pumpkin all the way back and this chai is a wonderfully warm way to add some spice to my day! Get back to your roots folks, and check out Roots Coffee in downtown Sacramento, they're awesome! Sincerely, Miss Love

Roots Coffee Shop in Sacramento is a delightful establishment conveniently located near the Golden 1 Center. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and attentive, and the touch of greenery throughout the store adds to its charm. It’s a great place to unwind, whether you’re working on your laptop or simply enjoying a quiet moment. While I didn’t have the opportunity to try the food, I look forward to sampling it on my next visit. I had a white chocolate mocha, which was satisfactory, and I plan to explore other flavors in the future.

I got the BEST dirty pumpkin chai soy latte at this place. They do have milk substitutes, the standard, oat, soy, almond, etc. And it was delicious. They can make most drinks vegan if they aren't naturally already. Loved the ambiance and the staff was very friendly. Comfortable little spot to get a coffee. Even my fiance who does not like coffee enjoyed their mint latte? It was mint something, but he ordered it with oat milk.

I was visiting the area and i went shortly before they closed at 3pm on a Saturday, so there's not much else i can say about it. It was fairly empty when I went.

The coffee was REALLY good. I enjoyed what I ordered greatly and truly appreciated their house coffee.

I recommend trying at least once. It was a good break from the normal Starbucks. Only because I don't live near it, nor do I have the money to swing it daily, otherwise this would be my go to spot.

Take a chance on this place, it is DELICIOUS!

I suppose it also depends on what you order or plan to order. I personally enjoyed...
