Really wanted to play this course, we had purchased our tickets thru the site for the ghost tour and added this because of the nostalgia. We had already paid and was going to play after the event. Site says till 9. We got there at 8:02 and was refused play, with an attitude towards us, saying that that wasnt their site and we were wrong. Ruined our trip to be honest because we come here to escape these things we experience at home. Wow factor was lost, my expectations were not exceeded. Selective hiring is a must in a vacation destination. Having someone eyeing the clock for his out time for an early departure has a domino effect on your guests, especially with children. Go to fiesta falls or Anastasia mini golf, they will go out of their way to make your time in this great city worth the money spent. And not make you feel bad about being there. Sad part is Ripley’s being affiliated because we have nothing but respect for the company. To the gentleman who was in charge July 16th, try and have an ownership mentality, when you are there you are the one who has the power for a good experience or bad. You are also a representative of the name of the company. It’s not about you. It’s about the bottom line, are you contributing or...
Read moreThey claim to be open till 5 but that’s not exactly true. We showed up at 4:30 and were turned away. I was told latest they allow people to start is 4:15. I told the employee that their phone message says they are open till 5. They told me in turn “But what you need to understand that I need time to collect the flags.” My thoughts are that you typically clean up and put stuff away after your closed. I told them it would be nice if they posted that condition online, on google, or on their phone message. It would have saved me the $5 I wasted on paying parking. Not to mention the annoyance of finding a spot close by and the couple block walk with child in tow. They responded “Well they have always done that. Sometimes they make an exception, but...” they trailed off after that. Needless to say, with 2 other putt putt options within 5 minutes drive, and no parking fee, we will not be back. It is a real shame to slander one of St Augustine’s big names “Ripley’s” but the only thing they will get my money for in the future is The Night of Lights tour...
Read moreWe went to ripleys museum first. Got our tickets for the mini golf. The lady at ripleys was nice to give us directions and we walked 15 mins to the mini-golf. Mini golf sits near were you can see the water and seen pirate ship from a distance along with some boats and restrooms. At first glance, was honest, it wasn't like adventure landing or other big mini golf course, but it still had its own lil character and history to it. One of the oldest mini golf. it had some good challenges. The nice gentleman explained the mini golf to us and took our tickets. We got our balls, golf clubs and paper. The golf course was nice with a few spin the wheels, which made it more fun. We really liked those.. Good for the price. Great for everyone. They also had a nice table with benches.. It looked like the train also stopped there too. Def come...
