Usually when I travel for pleasure my first instinct is to seek a ride, but living in North County and my work being halfway to the airport stashing my ride at work is less of an option currently. I’m pretty used to working near an airport where Uber or rides were easy, convenient and inexpensive.
As I’ve travelled more for business I always take advantage of expense cards/accounts, but unlike many sales people I’m not trying to take full advantage. Generally looking for covered parking, but not valet I’ve found Aladdin has the best overall experience. Their garage is pretty secure, easy to maneuver. I never have an issue with parking in a covered spot, though it’s cheaper on the roof. I suggest to make reservations online and usually you can find a $1-2 off coupon. Complimentary water, coffee, snacks, a bathroom in the structure and rides every 5 minutes pretty much guarantee to get you there on time. Pick ups are less convenient as they usually run less often and will spend extra time waiting at both terminals for others. The directions within the lot could be a little better and the drivers are
It’s the closest, fastest, most convenient parking garage. I’ve used Wally in the past and will use them more for solo personal trips because they aren’t as fast and are cheaper, which generally mean more than when it’s on someone else’s dime. Over the years I’ve parked at the old Park& Fly, Wally, here, at the airport and the balance between timing, price and convenience for work is best here. I slightly prefer Wally for personal due to price when I’m alone. The shuttles here are clean, large and the staff is nice. The buses usually hold about 15 people with luggage and are air conditioned. The garage is 5 stories, but I’ve never had issues parking on the first floor and backing in. The lounge has leather couches and a TV.

Read moreThis was the worst experience. The parking garage appears to be secure, however, their shuttle service is at best unreliable.
We arrived the day before we were leaving on a cruise. We had been told that when we dropped the cars off, a shuttle could take us back to the cruise terminal. We had a hotel for the night right across from the cruise terminal. This was not the case. They only provide a shuttle to the cruise terminal on embarkation days. As a result, we needed to Uber back to the hotel. If they provided additional details like that, we could have planned for the additional cost.
On disembarking day, it was pouring outside. We were able to see the shuttle picking up others to take to the parking garage. There was not enough room for several people, so we waited there, in the rain, until the next shuttle arrived. When the shuttle finally arrived about 10 minutes later, it drove past all of the people waiting and stopped about 1000 feet away to those waiting under the canopy.
At that time, we determined that the shuttle was unreliable and unpredictable, so we walked over to the taxi section. This was a whole other disaster. We ended up having to pay $75 for 3 cabs back to the garage.
We were drenched to the bone. We noticed that all of the shuttles didn't appear to be running. This was incredibly frustrating. The rain was predicted, so it seems reasonable to me that they would be fully staffed and that did not seem to be the case.
I would choose zero stars if I could. We will not be using this parking facility again AND I will be telling others to not give them their business. This was an unfortunate way to end an otherwise...
Read moreWe used to always park at Aladdin for airport parking. They were always great, we always felt our car was safe, and they always picked us up quickly and got us to and from the airport on time. However, our recent experience negated all of that. We parked our truck for a week on the rooftop parking while we went on vacation. Our flight got in at 8:30 PM and the Aladdin van was right there to take us to the facility. When my husband went to get the truck, we found that our left rear window was broken and someone had robbed our truck. Fortunately, the only thing they got was some spare change. When I went to do the incident report with their employee, she told me that there were four other break-ins that week (all different types of vehicles). She also told me that they would not be responsible for any damages and it is printed right on the ticket. They even charged me $165 for the parking! We ended up not getting out of there until 10 PM. The next day, we received an email from Aladdin's insurance company, informing us that they had denied our claim, and would not be responsible for any damage to our truck. We let our family, friends, and neighbors know what happened and how they treated us. Those friends and neighbors will no longer be parking at Aladdin, and...
