GO TO KATIE! Hear me out please: I have been going thru it. I moved here from Hawaii and I’ve been so isolated and sad, in and out of my very long-term relationship. I finally had the courage to leave, and that decision deserved new hair. Katie did my hair a year earlier as an audition and I said she could do whatever then, so I knew she wouldn’t make me look crazy. But OH MY GOODNESS, woman made me feel like a million dollars. I had a black eye and bandage on my face, and she still managed to make me feel beautiful. I’ve always had long dark hair. Any gal with long hair knows how attached we get to our security blanket. I said: “Do whatever you want - cut, color, go for it!” My hair is in this adorable layered bob at my chin, with copper, red and purple accents, and I have never had so many compliments! Plus now I wear my hair down all the time cuz it’s not super hot or flat with no body. I’m crying writing this. I cannot tell you how liberating it is to feel good after the ordeal I went through with someone I loved dearly but who couldn’t control his anger. I feel like a new woman and like I can take on the world. An artist like Katie should be in everyone’s life. Run! Before I book her for the rest of the year! 😁 And Katie, thank you from the bottom of my heart!...

I'll start by saying that my stylist was very nice, kind and friendly throughout the service. I also appreciate being accommodated last minute. However, I just can't get over how unhappy I am with the results of my blowout. I just had another done a bit over a week ago, so I know this is not because of hair texture or something of the sort. I have never ever had a blow out turn out this frizzy. It's very messy, like I didn't even have anything done - EVEN though I also had a hydrating treatment done right before. There are some spots that are still curly (from my natural hair), and the rest is just generally very frizzy... It looks and feels so much drier than normal. I got this done for an upcoming conference in San Diego, so I'm quite disappointed. I didn't notice these issues until I got home, so I didn't get a chance to mention it at the salon.

Edit: Today (day after service), there's quite a bit of product build up in my scalp, which looks like dandruff. This usually happens when my hair is dirty. It feels heavy. This tells me that, even though we did a second shampoo, the scalp wasn't cleaned in depth... I'll need to wash my hair again soon, even though I can usually go several days...

JAN2025 Ok! Katie did it again. See my first review below. I haven’t colored my hair since I went blonde for a Meg Ryan look in the late 90s. I got back from a 6 month air craft carrier deployment and was feeling hazy and gray and needed a little vibrancy. Well, if Katie has taken care of you you KNOW she radiates vibrance! Again I was nervous because I’m outdoorsy and like to look natural. Well here I am at Mammoth skiing and loving how she heightened the best features of my curly locks. Up next! Beach curls for Spain!

AUG2024 Katie is amazing! She has taken my hand through my curly hair adventure, as I conjure up the bravery to go from very very long curly locks to something shorter and more playful. Her skill with curly hair solidified my confidence to try new things. And keep coming back. But, more importantly, her authentic personality and honesty on whether picture references eill work with my hair have earned my loyalty. ...
