Wow! Firstly all I can say is wow! I booked my appointment with Crystal for my first lip filler ever and was completely nervous. Well actually I was so nervous that I asked them to just book me the consultation and not the service yet. I think when I checked in I mentioned it was only a consultation 5-8 times. I had the biggest fear of swelling and bruising and looking plastic.

Crystal was amazing. We spoke about my wish to have fuller lips but my fears of the side effects made me extremely scared. She helped calm me down, spoke about precautions we could take to with the side effects and about how it would feel to have my lips filled. Her exact words were “I’m not a sales person, just here to help you feel more comfortable about your decision - whichever you decide to do.” Since I was still unsure I called my sister for back up and courage and decided to go for it. And boy am I happy I did.

Crystal’s calm and caring nature made the process easy and her skills gave me the exact results I had hoped for. She knew exactly where to inject me to create a natural look with less swelling and bruises. And as soon as she was finished we started icing.

I knew straight away I would love it and was beyond thrilled that I chose to do it but still felt uneasy about what the next 48 hours would bring. Well with Crystals skills, care, knowledge and techniques my fears never came true. There was hardly any bruising or swelling. So little in fact that no one even noticed. My new fuller lips have truly helped reshape my face and now you can see the pretty shades of lipsticks I wear.

Words can’t express my gratitude towards SDBotox and Crystal for this better then perfect outcome. Thank you and see you next time! You’ll be meeting the excited me instead of the scared version. Appreciate you ladies!

My recent experience at SD Botox in Little Italy was unfortunately far from satisfactory. While the spa's ambiance and location are undeniably beautiful, my review is primarily based on the results of the Botox procedure I underwent.

Approximately four weeks ago, I visited SD Botox to receive Botox injections in the area between my eyebrows, commonly referred to as "11's". Having had Botox treatments in the past, I was accustomed to receiving 20 units in this area without any issue. However, Dr. Dobson recommended a staggering 46 units—a significantly higher dosage than I had ever received before.

Despite my initial hesitance, I trusted Dr. Dobson's expertise and reluctantly agreed to the higher dosage, assuming he must have seen something I hadn't. Keep in mind, I've never had an issue with any other area other than my 11's. Within just five days of the procedure, I began to experience an uncomfortable heaviness in my forehead, which has slightly relieved since but still today has lowered my forehead making me appear unhappy.

Feeling dissatisfied with the results, I promptly reached out to the office to express my concerns. Dr. Dobson advised me to wait until the Botox had fully settled, which he suggested would take around 10 days. However, having previously worked in a medspa, I knew that once Botox is injected, there is little that can be done other than waiting for it to dissipate naturally.

Adding insult to injury, SD Botox charges a steep rate of $13.50 per unit for Botox injections. Despite receiving discounts through their promotions and $100 off with the Allie program, my total bill still amounted to $451—a considerable expense, especially considering the disappointing outcome.

Went to their Botox Party. The clinic is like a mall for aesthetics! It’s hidden in a trendy part of Little Italy on Kettner blvd but when you walk in the place is massive with high ceilings. Instantly receptionists get you registered and you see so many professionals that make sure you’re safe before even consulting for a procedure. Bobby RN was so fun and approachable and ushered us to see Tori, the nurse practitioner who made sure we were physically stable to do even a minor procedure (they’re nice but serious about health I guess). Then Rita, the PA who did the Botox, talked to us first about what we wanted. It was my first time so I had no clue how much all this would cost (I also wanted a filler). But she was up front and adjusted the dose to decrease the price. It was super affordable. Shots felt like little mosquito bites then were gone. Then the lovely girls at reception guided me step by step how to get steep discounts! That was my favorite part. This SD Botox party was the best. The food was high quality Wagyu (or something like that) sliders, charcuterie thin meats w/delightful jam, and of course—bottomless prosecco mimosas (try the Açaí flavor).
