I fell off my bicycle and spent 5 weeks in the hospital; 9 days in coma. After discharge I had to go to TBI (traumatic brain injury) rehab for 6 weeks. Lost 30% of my memory (but it's ok because I can't remember a single minute spent with my ex-wife). I decided to give up cycling and go back to golf. The problem was, thankfully, I did remember how to play golf but my left shoulder was seriously banged up and healed wrong. I didn't want to go thru more surgery and since the left shoulder didn't hurt I decided to just work with the busted L shoulder. I actually shot 40 for my first 9 hole outing with no pain at all. But my old clubs were just way too stiff and heavy. I was a handicap 4 before I decided to become a cyclist.
I bought a senior flex iron set and quickly out grew them when I got some strength and flexibility back; the senior flex shafts were like licorice. Even the regular flex were too soft but the Stiff flex were all too stiff. What to do? My friend just happened to visit Japan and came home with a set of XXIO9 Stiff-regular flex and the SR flex were perfect. Now what do I do? I wasn't going to Japan just to buy a set of golf clubs. After some research I came across Fairway Golf USA.
Really? I can order Japanese clubs in the USA? I was a little hesitant because they want me to pay them upfront and wait for the package. Many things can go wrong but I placed my paid order anyways. 10 days went by but to be fair, that 10 days included 2 weekends. I got my clubs; XXIO9 SR flex with red Japan-only shafts and they work perfectly for me!
I love Fairway Golf USA and will order whatever I need from them without hesitation. As a matter of fact, I am eyeing some hybrids...
Great company servicing a particular need in the golf market. Japanese clubs are amazingly made. Now Japanese clubs are within...
Read moreFairway Golf USA is awesome!! While searching the Internet for golf supplies, I happen to run into their website. Fairway Golf is not like the big box online golf warehouses that all golfers are familiar with. It was the first time Iâve run into Fairway Golf USA. Naturally, I searched for their reviews online to determine their legitimacy. For the most part, they had very very good reviews.
Given the positive reviews, I decided to call since the golf bag I was looking for were sold out from the manufacturer and other reputable seller. Luckily, they had in stock exactly the bag I was looking for.
I ordered a Miura Player IV Pro Stand Bag over the phone. Spoke to Easton to take my order. He quickly confirmed availability by calling the warehouse. Paid through a secure link. The golf bag was quickly prepared and shipped the same day! To say the least, Fairway Golf is highly efficient with handling orders.
Easton was great! He was very accommodating and provided awesome customer service. As mentioned above, he handled my order with utmost efficiency by immediately working with Hida (his Manager?) to handle the secure payment method. These guys are the best.
I received my order within two days via UPS Ground from San Diego to San Franscisco Bay Area. The item delivered was the exact item ordered and received without issues.
I am not one who normally posts reviews online. But my experience with Fairway Golf in general and Easton in particular prompted me to write this well-deserved positive review. These guys are most highly recommended. Without hesitation, I will order again from Fairway Golf USA and from these...
Read moreWent to both locations to look for a 3W. Went downtown first, was completely ignored for about 30 minutes (the store was empty) until they finally asked if I needed help. I mentioned I was looking for a 3 wood and was told "we may have some, feel free to look around" which I had been doing and was ignored until I left. Very awkward in an empty store....
Second, I went to the Kearny Mesa location to look for a 3W. Arrived right when they opened and was greeted and looked around for a but unassisted. Found a 3W and wedge I wanted to try on the Sim, but someone who seemed to be friends with the two guys working in the showed up around the same time and started using the sim. I was told I could hit a few balls and get some numbers when the guy using it was done. The guy kept hitting the same club for about half an hour until the two employees started taking turns on the sim while I sat there and waited, and waited, and waited. They were giving me awkward looks while ignoring me as I waited. Never got a chance to try anything on the Sim as it was occupied by one person and the employees for an hour and was ignored until I ultimately left. If I didn't have a gift card I would have never spent a penny there. I would not recommend anyone shop here and I won't ever set foot in one again. Go to Golf Mart and save yourself the worst golf store experience of...
