Made a huge purchase online with my points. (Had been saving them for a while) Included in my purchase were two foundations, Lancôme Teint Idole Ultrawear foundation and the Pur Love your Selfie 4 in 1 foundation. Lancôme foundation was the wrong shade and the pur foundation just didn’t work for me. Did an even exchange for the Lancôme but when trying to exchange the pur foundation for a smashbox one, associate (Ana) and manager said wasn’t possible to do this. The manager, Brenda, said that because it wasn’t an even exchange it couldn’t be done and that I would lose my points if I tried to return. Basically telling me I had to pay full price for the smashbox foundation. Walked out with my pur foundation in hand but after reviewing Ulta’s online policy and calling corporate, they assured me I could return the product and my points would be returned for the product. Didn’t bother going back in as associate was rude during this whole process and wasn’t very helpful to begin.(she initially said I couldn’t do an exchange at all because I used my points) Along with that, manager didn’t seem to know her own stores return policy. Had the return been suggested to me to begin with, I just would have returned the foundation in exchange for my points and then purchased the foundation I wanted. Only reason why i'm not rating it 5 stars is because there was an older Hispanic lady as a cashier, who I believe was either an assistant manager or something who was RUDE. There was an incident with some glosses that were buy 1 get one 50% and I asked the young lady who was helping me if that was correct? However the older lady very rudely responded like"No, only the eye cosmetics." and I said the sign is there and she replied "Well if it's there i'll honor it, well that's if you looked correctly." If I didn't look properly I would understand it was my fault,however the way she responded was RUDE. I'm not one to point fingers but as we were looking around and trying to shop, it seemed as if she also sent security to keep an eye on us. Which was very uncomfortable, just because we weren't nicely dressed or up to her "standards". Let me just say as a full time college student and full time employee, that doesn't need to shoplift for a lipstick. Whether a person spend $5 or $100 each customer should receive the same treatment.
Lucky for me I will continue shopping at the Ulta in San Marcos where the WHOLE STAFF is Awesome ! (;

Read moreI came in looking for a perfume and the store was really busy ,and to be honest I was on a time crunch. i was also dreading looking for the perfume on my own since I was not sure how to pick the correct one .as I got to the perfume section and began to look I grabbed one with out realizing it was as the wrong. Marcia was very attentive came up to check on me which I then proceeded to ask her if she knew if I had picked the right perfume all I had a was a picture of a broken bottle which she right away noticed I had the wrong one proving to be very knowledgeable.she then proceeded to help me look for the correct one. unfortunately they where out of stock for the one I was looking for but she went the extra mile and offered to search for one in the next closest store. Unfortunately they where out too. She offered a solution to my predicament and mentioned it was a popular scent and suggested me getting the next size up. Which I then accepted to do so she got things ready for me and I was out of there pretty quickly .
