Consistently Delicious and Feels Like Family
We first discovered Sogo over a decade ago at one of their original locations. So when we moved to Miramar two years ago and saw the familiar logo just down the street, we knew we had to try it again—this time even closer to home.
Since then, Sogo has become part of our weekly routine. We order so often that the team already knows our go-to favorites when we call in for takeout or stop by to dine in. That kind of familiarity says a lot about their consistency and care for their customers.
As a vegetarian family, we’re always thrilled to find places with flavorful options, and Sogo delivers every time. Our daughter is obsessed with the avocado sushi roll, and I can’t get enough of the tofu with mushrooms or the veggie noodles. Everything is fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor.
If you take the time to sit in and enjoy a meal at the restaurant, you’ll notice something special—everyone who walks in is warmly greeted, and most are clearly local regulars. There’s a sense of comfort and familiarity that makes the dining room feel more like a family gathering than a typical restaurant. That warmth is part of what keeps us coming back.
While it’s just a short walk from our apartment, Sogo is the kind of spot we’d happily go out of our way for. It’s a dependable, welcoming, and consistently delicious place that we’re lucky to have in the neighborhood.

It was not drowning in unnecessary extra vegetables for volume. The takeout portion for the rice is small. If you love rice and you're ordering takeout make sure to order an extra serving rice. I completed my order with a Sapporo light it was quite refreshing at the end of a warm day. Altogether it came out to about $46 for 2 beers, 1 main dish, leeches for dessert plus two lemonades. All in all, a good price for a decent dinner and a touristy Miramar part of...

We started with our go-to seafood soup. Like egg drop in it’s consistency but lighter and filled with delectable pieces of mixed seafood and broccoli. Always yummy.
We asked Tiffany (manager) what she recommended and she mentioned she had her short ribs (Chinese style) available. They were delicious! We paired them with the eggplant (our new favorite!), the choy sum (another item off the secret menu), and the Signapore noodles. All were exceptional.
As foodies who’ve been living on the island for years, this is one of our absolute top picks in San Juan. Highly...
