Like the food junkies we are my husband and I, we LOVE finding great restaurants and recommending them to friends and family. We dont mind price when it comes to great food, service and experience in general. However, the service was just..meh. Our waitress was short on smiles that day I guess. We also noticed this restaurant does not offer glasses of water (like far more expensive restaurants we've been to do offer) you have to pay for it. I say this because we noticed the restaurant acts like a pretty high end rest. which I wouldnt mind IF the food, service and experience deserved it. Being completely honest it doesnt. The food was bland and boring, the portions were off too. We asked for a risotto, and also tried the lasagna. The risotto was somewhat bland and the lasagna tasted like cheap, watery tomato sauce. Oh and the presentation of our plates was extremely vague and nothing to instagram. Also for some reason there was an employee at the bar staring at us very oddly like he was angry or something. Anywho. I dont know what happened that day to them, maybe they are better other days but to us its important for restaurants to be good always. we spent almost 200 on our meal drinks and left very unsatisfied. We left a 15% tip to our waitress (which we immediately regretted) but be wont be going back there EVER again. So, we DO NOT RECOMMEND. There are waaay better restaurants and places to eat in the San Juan area. Skip this one. El Mercado de paseo caribe, El fogo de Chao, Texas de Brasil, Cucina di Ivo are all better places to mention some but hey, even Faccio is...
Read moreAs per recommendation of our friend we visited the pizzeria. We were received by a waiter who advised us it was his first day as if that was an excuse for the mess we would later on encounter… we ordered 3 pizzas for the table. One of them with pepperoni and the other two with other stuff. The thing is, the food arrives and we noticed that 2 of the pizzas were messed up, there was one with eggplant and the other one only with 4 cheeses, the one with eggplant had pepperoni, mistakenly. When we tell the waiter he rapidly takes the 4 cheese and returns it with cold pepperoni. At this point we were hungry and just at aw’ at the unprofessional behavior and unaccountability of these people.
Sooooo, the check comes and they’re ACTAULLY charging us for 2 pizzas with pepperoni and the other one how it was ordered. We genuinely thought it was a mistake and asked for the PRICE to be ADJUSTED to what they said, it was not possible to adjust the price since we had eaten the pizza.
IT WAS A COMPLETE DISRESPECTFUL MANER ON HOW THE ASMIN OF MELANZANA DEALT WITH SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES.
THey treated us so awe fully making us feel responsible for their mistakes that I won’t never come back and non the less recommend such place.
YOU BEST BELIEVE $4 will be the worst investment of your...
Read moreTerrible service. My husband ordered a calzone, I ordered a chicken breast with risotto. My husband got his plate and 45 minutes later, my food was not ready yet. The waiter only told us to apologize but that there was only one cook that day and that there was a large order pending from Uber. However, the order from Uber came out, which were like 6 dishes, the order from the family that was sitting next to us came out, which were like 6, which by the way were the owners' family, the food came out of people who had arrived a lot after us. When I asked them to cancel my order, my food miraculously appeared. Then it was too late because I was super upset after waiting more than an hour. Refuse food. The only thing they told me was apology and here is your account. I was hoping that they would offer me something in return, like a dessert, for example. It's not that I can't afford it, but that's what determines good customer service and that you're really sorry about the situation. They need a course in customer service with the owners of Piccolino Ristorante in San Patricio. They do know what it...
