We went to apple first because we had an issue with our iPad and iPhone. The iPhone had a speaker issue we could not hear with the phone to the ear, but speakerphone worked fine.

They said they were going to take it to the back to clean the speaker . Then they tried to say that we needed to replace the screen and it would cost $350.

We took the phone to iProTech and he fixed the issue in less than a minute by cleaning the speaker (something apple said they would do). He didn’t even charge us for this.

With the iPad I was told by Apple it had a hardware issue and needed to be replaced. I came here and he ran an update and the iPad was fixed. This is an honest shop. I will not go to Apple Store again unless I have the device under warranty. Dishonest and unethical practices at Apple.

Instead of paying close to a thousand dollars Apple wanted to replace the iPad and repair the iPhone we paid $57.76 total...

@ Camila. This recently happened to me and they over charged me like crazy. and I tried calling the company today for the first time and the guy over the phone flips out on me. I believe he was mistaking me for someone else but it seems like he has a lot of negative customer reviews. I Just called to see if they could do something about my recently repaired phone screen. They messed up my phone. They used crappy parts and the same thing happened to me. My phone is not working properly and the part is not recognized by apple. and the man told me i was paying for genuine apple parts....... I just want you guys to fix this phone problem. I tried calling today for the first time and the man was really rude and unprofessional. I guess I have to go this route in order for you to recognize me.... this is the worst service ever in all of customer...

I broke the screen on my samsung galaxy s5 and a few days later the screen completely went out. I emailed iprotech in Santa Barbara located in the Paseo Nuevo mall. Within 15min i received a response along with a quote that was more than reasonable. I was able to walk up and hand over my phone to OSNAT (hopefully i spelled it correctly) and she provided excellent customer service and was able to not only fix my dismantled phone but also had it ready sooner than expected. Would highly recommend you take your phone there. Good prices, fast, friendly, parts in stock, i couldnt ask for...
