Maya Gallery — Attraction in Santa Fe

Beautiful gallery and works but the staff was unhelpful and cold. I asked about a prominent NM southwestern painter and the woman working told me to “Google it”. Nice… I would’ve thought a gallery worker would have the knowledge or at least lead me to another gallery that might be helpful. Beautiful gallery right on the plaza with a wonderful and friendly staff. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, professional and knowledgeable about all of the artists they were exhibiting and didn't mind spending time chatting with us about the history of the painters and sculptures they had on display. I "interrupted" a sales associate playing on his laptop to get a price on a painting since most items were not priced. After stating the price he suggested getting the owner involved for a much better price. Because the price was well above what I would pay for art, I politely said that if I had any interest, I would return. He rudely replied that people never return and walked off.
