Our meal at Torogoz was nothing short of outstanding. It is a small restaurant, with 8-9 tables (depending on if the one large tables is split in two), two gentlemen working the dining room, colorful, vibrant decor, and latin American music for ambience. We came on a Wednesday, which we were lucky to discover is the only day they serve their papusas, which were absolutely incredible. We had the pork & cheese, and the jalapeno & cheese varieties. The free chips and salsa was some of the best I've had ANYWHERE. The salsa is very unassuming in appearance, but has a subtle, delicious flavor.

For our entrees, we ordered the discada and the steak fajitas. I almost laughed at the discada when it arrived. The bacon, ham, and other meats under a blanket of cheese looked like a breakfast hash gone wrong...but when you take the vegetable jam hiding under it all into the bite as well, it's like a party for your taste buds. The fajitas were nothing short of five star.

In addition, the service was polite, genuine, and authentically friendly. One of the best dining experiences of my 48...

If you’re on the fence about coming here, you NEED to go. We had a group of 8 people and they accommodated us to their outside seating. Such a great vibe outside and it truly feels so authentic. The restaurants on the main roads and in the plaza are just popular and overrated. They have a fancy and cool ambience with decorations, and that’s why we chose to go to this — because it didn’t have that lol. It was off the beaten path and was super casual on the inside. This is how you know the food is going to be so good. And it EXCEEDED expectations. My wife and I travel the world for months at a time, and these are the restaurants you want to go to. The ones with the old school menus, casual and authentic environment, and servers whose first language is not English. Highly, highly recommend!! Flavors of the food are to die for, and the margaritas were probably some of the best we’ve ever had. So fresh, especially the mango margarita. If you want great food, drinks, and service — come here!! If you want trendy and Instagram worthy photos with mediocre food,...

This was my first time visiting this fabulous eatery. We got to it late, but before closing. They didn't make us feel rushed, or that they didn't want us there. The chips were fresh and a perfect start to the meal. We also tried the fried plantains as a starter, and they were PHENOMENAL. We each ordered a different meal and they were all cooked to perfection. The steak fajitas were magical, and I couldn't say enough about them to make you truly know how good they are. In addition to all of this, I was traveling with a friend who has celiac. The waiter (I did not catch his name, but he was amazing) knew what was gluten free and what she could have. The chef even whipped up a red chili sauce, gluten free, just for her. Did I mention it was almost closing time for them? We all left stuffed and ready for a nap. One note, there are only pupusas on Wednesdays. So know that going in. But you undoubtedly will find something else that you will love regardless of what day you stop in. With love, from Colorado. Thank you for the...

We were amazed that a restaurant with this many reviews could have a perfect five star rating so we had to try it outand we were very pleasantly surprised with how authentic and spot on the reviews were. We were a family of 5 plus a baby at 7:15 reservations and were sat immediately. Service was from what you could feel like a family business from start to finish. We ordered patron margaritas and mezcal margaritas and they were both awesome. We got seconds. The table ordered guac and it was super fresh. The ceviche was some of the best I’ve had- and I’ve had a lot. The spicy sauce was spicy and flavorful. The table ordered fajitas x2, quesadillas, and butter shrimp. My husband said it was the best fajita he ever had I quite enjoyed butter shrimp as well. Dessert we got homemade flan as well as the plantains and ice cream. We left very full and happy after a pleasant evening.
