I absolutely love and am incredibly grateful for Lifetime Fitness Scottsdale Fashion Square. For an elevated fitness experience in the Valley, this is the place to be. The entire team is exceptional, from GM Mike Esposito to the entire personal training crew (including lead Luis and trainers Shanna and Jen, who inspire me and add so much to my everyday), to the member concierge led by Katie, group fitness lead by Dawn and cafe led by Scott. They always welcome me warmly (and by name), create a community atmosphere, and demonstrate time and time again that they genuinely care not just about my experience, but also about me as a person. It's so much more than just a gym. The club itself is stunning and has a wide array of top-notch equipment, including cool recovery tools like Power Plate and Hyperice. The yoga room with floor-to-ceiling glass is a dreamy spot for a yoga practice with breathtaking mountain views and abundant natural light. I very much appreciate the variety of group classes offered—my favorites so far are GTX with Shanna, Spin with Celeste, Barre with Tracy N and Tracy P, Surrender Yoga with Sarah and Patrick, and Root Yoga with Hirono. The Pilates studio is also impressive. The locker room is well-appointed and connects to a unisex wet room equipped with a Jacuzzi, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room. These amenities are perfect for unwinding and rejuvenating after a workout. Additionally, the club has a spa offering massages and facials, which I am excited to indulge in. The rooftop beach club with an Olympic-size pool is a true gem, brimming with chaise lounges and cabanas, all against the picturesque backdrop of Camelback Mountain. It's the perfect spot to relax and unwind while sipping a smoothie or indulging in a soon-to-be-offered wine or cocktail from the pool bar. The café serves fantastic smoothies and offers a variety of menu items and grab-and-go food options. It also stocks a variety of supplements, bars and snacks. The facilities are always impeccably maintained, which is a major plus. Overall, Lifetime Fitness Scottsdale Fashion Square has exceeded my expectations and is the perfect spot to work out, relax and socialize. I highly recommend this club to anyone who wants to experience top-of-the-line fitness!

Hottest Gym in Scottsdale! South Scottsdale/Fashion Square desperately needed a luxury gym, and the new Life Time Fashion Square answered the call! Four stories with state-of-the-art equipment, a rooftop pool, an oversized parking garage nearby, and luxurious spa/locker rooms. The first floor is a check-in and Life Cafe with a lounge area for taking a phone call or catching up with friends and a Barre studio for classes. Locker rooms are also on the first floor and have everything you need--private shower stalls, toiletries, hot tub, cold plunge, steam, and dry sauna. The second floor has a studio for cycle classes, and a free weight area with dumbbells, barbells, benches, power racks, and press stations. There's also a stretch and mobility area with a few functional fitness stations & cardio equipment. The third floor/rooftop is the cardiovascular level with stair masters, treadmills, and ellipticals. The rooftop pool is located outside with sweeping views of Camelback Mountain and has plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas to hang out and catch some sun. Fourth Floor is the Yoga and Pilates Studio with 360 views of Fashion Square. Yoga room also has heated classes with dumbbells. Check them out and get a membership! A membership at this location will allow you access to all locations in Arizona!

The gym is very well constructed and walking into this lifetime felt like a serious dream. It has a very polite and engaged staff which were more than happy to give advice on certain exercises and how to do them. I did have a few complaints about this lifetime: - The weight room felt so congested - there was barely any space to stretch and how does an onyx gym have more space to stretch and more racks, I was highly disappointed to see it. - I was very disappointed with the alpha space being covered in more treadmills than racks. - The yoga floor was nice - but there could be other space used for it. - The pricing for the gym is a bit too high, I feel like Biltmore nearby does the same job for a cheaper month to month rate and has a better use with it’s space - The cold plunge and spa space is very cool.

Premium membership, limited amenities.

I was beyond excited to join Lifetime Fashion Square when it opened-yoga, spin, strength all under one beautiful roof. As a founding member, I expected some growing pains, but over two years later the experience has only declined.

With rising rates and declining value, I recently paused my membership to explore other options. Hoping in 6 months things improve, but right now it’s a letdown.

Class schedule is rough! I go at 6am, and the only solid options are at 5:30am - then there’s nothing until 9am. I need to be working by then, and there are no noon options. Afternoons don’t start until 5:30, and I’m not trying to eat dinner at 7/7:30pm. For the second most expensive Lifetime in the country, the schedule is shockingly limited.

Spin was a bust. Bought $150 shoes before joining and barely used them. Weird instructors, bad class times, and now I hear they may scrap the spin room entirely. Huge missed opportunity.

Alpha classes = constant frustration. Unlike other clubs where Alpha/GTX are extra, here you’re forced into a premium tier whether you use them or not. I don’t, because the main Alpha coach is the worst coach I’ve ever had. But their 5/6am classes hog 6/8 squat racks for just a few people. Same equipment, same membership fee - why do they get priority?

Gym floor is always crowded. At $400+/month, I shouldn’t have to wait to use equipment. But unless I go at 7:30/8am, I often do.

The paper cuts that added up: They mistreated one of the best instructors just for wanting time with family during summer. (Which she’s done at other LT’s) She created an amazing community, and they basically told her she doesn’t have a job to come back to. Also, rumors of popular early classes being cut due to staff issues. Maybe move class times to 6am?

And the “boutique” part? $500+ just to join, and you get broken pina colada/frozen drink machine for months (I was told I’d have to go to Biltmore for a premium pool experience), bugs in the cold plunge and showers, and a club that feels more chaotic than curated.

I hope corporate sees this and steps up. And I hope potential members think twice - this location has all the potential in the world but is falling short in every way that matters.

Also notice how the best reviews are from 2 years ago when then opened?? Only giving two stars cause the gym is beautiful but you gotta give...

Lifetime Fashion Square is an unparalleled experience that is truly worth every penny. From the minute you walk in the door you will be greeted (usually by name) by friendly and knowledgeable staff that have a passion for industry.

The facilities are top notch, state-of-the-art equipment, beautiful studios, and a roof top pool with an amazing view to name a few. There is truly something for everyone at this club, whether you are just starting your fitness journey or are a seasoned athlete.

But what sets Lifetime Fashion Square apart is the staff. Often, I will catch the General Manager, Mike, during his personal workout, where he will typically be carrying around a cordless vacuum cleaning up while doing his own workout – this shows that he is not only great leader but takes great pride in his facility, he treats it as if he owns it. Luis – lead trainer is a gem – he gives everything he has in every session – listens to his clients and really takes the time needed to properly assess them and learn a little about their personality so he can best serve them – he holds you accountable when you need it – knows when to push you and knows when to tell you its time to rest – Mike and Luis have hired an absolutely amazing crew of personal trainers – no matter who you are training with or if you are there working out on your own, every single one of them will cheer you on, answer any question you may have and honestly make you feel like you are part of a family. This staff goes above and beyond to ensure every member feels welcomed and supported.

Overall, Lifetime Fashion Square is more than just a gym, it is an experience that will help you transform your life. If you are looking for a fitness club that will exceed your expectations in every way, look no further than Lifetime...
