Im almost certain everything they did to me is illegal. I am new to Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em, but not normal hold em or casinos. The dealer flipped and looked at my cards several times without me asking for help. I asked for change for 100 and was given $1 $2.50 chips with $90 of $5. I should get 20 5$ chips not $90 and Otherwise unusable chips and they were not marked clearly, and I've never seen a $2.50 chip before. They are doing this to ensure the house edge which is unbeatable long term takes you quick. Everyone at the table was "barely" best always with garbage hands but the dealer always qualified. This is mathematically improbable maybe a 5% chance unless it is rigged. I know how to manipulate people, and that was exactly the commanding presence of the dealer, she was instructed to do this, and oddly couldn't speak English when I asked questions.
This is systematic and shameful. I definitely was pressured unnecessarily as I can calculate simple probability. It was distraction and trained to create confusion and chaos. It is a simple game of math and in about 10 hands, best pocket hand was A5 off suit which definitely is a 4x bet with about 60% probability. Don't go here. The player next to me lost 3 times as much with decent play, but this is not normal. This is criminal. Absolutely what I heard from someone else, but I figured they just had bad beats or poor hands played. The dealer was fast to touch everything, and I could see the ruthless and careless look of the pit boss. If they weren't signaling then it was still almost autistic looking, where it is obviously someone is getting information. I could have not made any better mathematic decisions. I've never seen anything like this. It's clearly collusion or decks stacking. The dealer would grab for chips before even looking. I'm fairly sure you are supposed to flip all hands at the same time, and this makes a huge difference with any sleight of hand. I got beat and it was in best scenario totally improbable. They know how to manipulate a person into thinking they're at fault. I couldn't even see that it does say $2.50, in the dark I thought it was a stack of coins. Point is, that's not leverage at 5-10 table, it's psychological warfare for looking like you have a stack and not being able to use it. Never going back, which is completely okay. It offers nothing but depression and...
Read moreIt is shocking how horrible this place is. First off when we walked in we were completely ignored by the greeter who was on their phone. We sat down at a blackjack table where the dealer (Cheryl i think) was rude and busy talking to the floor manager. Completely ignored us and didn't seem to care whether we were there or not.
We decided to have dinner after that. Wow, that was a mistake. The service was terrible. There were roaches in the food...let me repeat that...there were ROACHES IN THE FOOD!!!!
When we complained to the waitress about it she pretty much blew us off. We asked to speak with a manager and she went and got a little blonde lady to talk to us. She was apparently the general manager though I can't believe any company in their right mind would allow this lady to manage a casino. She was rude, dismissive, and seemed more interested in her cell phone than listening to us. This woman needs to be fired immediately!!!!!! It's no wonder there are bugs in the food and the employees are awful. This is the boss????
On the plus side I was offered drugs and a "date" while there...so I guess at least there was some sort of customer service...
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL...
Read moreFood was ok, but nothing special, despite praises from a number of people. I now suspect they were shills for the casino.
Looking for a dinner close to our hotel, we were redirected to the Silver Dollar Casino with promises it would be better than our initial choice. It was close by and we were offered 25% off the meal for signing up with a courtesy card, so we went.
They do have a wide variety of food, but the items we chose (and recommended by the wait staff), turned out to be so-so. Not bad, but nothing special. Given the smoky atmosphere, we chose not to do any gambling at the casino, so I can't speak for that part of the establishment.
On a return trip a while later, we had an Uber driver recommend it over our first choice (despite having admitted he'd never been to the latter), which leads me to believe that Hotel staff and drivers in the area are compensated for steering you to SDC. This time we stuck to our first choice and were very pleased we did so.
I will not go back to any place that resorts to such tricks to bring people in, especially with so many better...
