On 2/15/2024, I checked in the Quality Inn hotel at SeaTac. I slept around 9:30 PM and planned to get up in the early morning to work but the noise from above kept me awake. I waited to let the guest above to finish his or her bathing and waited until 11PM. I felt it is not right for that guest to make noises to interrupt my rest for over 0ne hour and maybe two. Therefore, I went to the front desk to get help. There was a clerk there and she listened to my complaint then replied immediately: there is no one above you! She insisted that there is no one above my room and refuse to accept my request to change room. Meanwhile, another man came in and the clerk asked him of my situations. The man laughed out and told me: Maybe there is a ghost in that room and left on his way. Since she is not helpful, I went up to knock the door of room 304 and a woman came out. There she is, a live person. Ta-DA--- There is a real person living above my room! I explained to the guest that I need to fall asleep soon because I will get up to work early, please put down your foot gently. She says sorry she was taking bath and walk around in the room and she agreed to be gentle later. This clerk (According to her, Devita) was judging customer in a negative way and lied to customers when she checked the computer to tell me there is no one in the room above you. When I discussed my situation and she insisted there is no one above my room and I have invited her to listen to the noise by herself, she said: I won’t go to your room because you are a murderer! Hello! Quality? Inn. (I don’t know if she needs a doctor for her mind?) And she asked three men to back her up, they are: one man saying thing of ghost and laugh, and later a shuttle driver to listen to the noise in my room and even later hours a senior guest using computer but she spoke lies that the woman she called over the phone was not in room 305 but room 304, exactly above my room! Quality Inn General Manager: Your clerk worked so hard to keep me in my room and didn’t get a change from 9 PM to 1 AM. She is good to get three men to back her up but she is a liar. You should close this hotel because it runs like a joke, a joke about haunted hotel. {3/23/24)REPLY to the owner: Calling people a murderer without evidence is a crime about reputation. And I did all work that night just to talk to the guest above me to stop the noise, frankly, I lost my rest and sleep and did not feel good at my work the next morning. You should refund me the payment first before you declared you are...
Read morePretty bad experience, overall. My wife and I only stayed there because 1.) it was one of two SEATAC hotels that didn't advertise one price and then charge another much higher rate, and 2.) because their shuttle ran 24/7. Here are the complaints:||1. Run-down: the entire hotel is worn out and in super-visible state of disrepair.||2. Weird bathroom stuff: The sink faucets were both scalding hot water, i.e., no cold and hot, just hot and hot. Who does that? Having done my own plumbing and having passed every inspection, I know it ain't that hard. Moreover, I'm sure their plumbing is full of code violations. ||3. The toilet was downright old-timey, with a tank that is at least 5 gallons, and a tiny little round bowl; our toilet seat did not match the bowl, and was not completely attached. I'm sure it is not to code, since the state requires low-flow toilets that don't depend on a river of swirling water to flush.||4. Beds from another century. Our beds both had a pronounced dip in the middle. ||5. Oddly, the breakfast was not too bad, but I worried about the sausages, and behold, I have a lower GI problem, possibly caused by them. But the so-called dining room only has a few tables (as I recall, they all seated only 2 people), and a queue forms for those wanting breakfast, but who have to wait for a table.||6. Staff: all friendly and helpful, so no complaints there. The fellow from Kenya was a real sweetheart.||7. The bottom landing on the stairwells were seedy, in need of repair, and one had transition strips that could take off a toe. I winced in pain just looking at them. They need to get that repaired real soon, or they are going to face an eventual lawsuit.||||Better luck next time. If I feel a need to save money, I'll just use the much better Red Roof Inn, which is also inexpensive. The shuttle does not run after midnight, so I will just hire a taxi....

Hotels, like people, have good nights and bad nights…
This was a “no other choice” type of hotel, where the hassle of finding another place to stay was substantially worse than just toughing it out.
Staff were helpful and friendly in the same way a deaf person maintains a positive attitude while those in the hearing world tolerate the cacophony of unruly guests shouting, fighting, slamming and banging until the wee hours of the morning.
The lobby and rooms were adorned as nicely as any other 2-star hotel, with worn, stained carpet, and an aging patina finish.
I appreciated the smell of fresh paint, although I did not actually see any newly painted surfaces. And I was thankful that the pillows were thick and soft enough to line the tub with so I could sleep in the bathroom with the door closed in order to lessen the noise and get some rest.
One of the other guests who rode the same hotel shuttle to the airport in the morning said “I hope the noisy neighbors appreciated my trying to make them feel at home when I left at 5 AM, banging, slamming, and knocking on the walls because it just felt too uncomfortably quiet.”
The hot and cold water valves in the bathroom sink were reversed. The coffee carafe in the lobby was cold, and the sausage and scrambled egg breakfast was barely luke-warm, as in they had taken it from the microwave too soon.
I could write more… but I’m sure you get the idea.
I noticed there are many good reviews here as well, so I can only hope that your stay, if you have no other choice, falls on the more pleasant side of...
