My wife and had dinner at this restaurant last night. I ordered medium rare prime rib. The meat I got was well done. When I asked if the waiter thought this was medium rare he shrugged his shoulders and said that was they had. He obviously couldn’t care less if what I got had nothing to do with what I ordered. The prime rib also had some kind of sauce on it that was not mentioned on the menu. The meat was, if anything, was more well done than the first. The first few bites were passable. However, as I kept eating the meat was so dry it was inedible. They cut off half the price, but it was a very disappointing experience.
My wife ordered a margarita with an upgraded tequila. When we got the bill we found out we had been charged the full amount for the house tequila, $12, even though we did not get that house tequila. We were then separately charged for a shot of the upgraded tequila, $14, In other words, were charged $26 for a very small glass with a little bit of good tequila.

It’s actually just one of the wines on their regular menu that is not even the cheapest of their options. When alarmed at my $20 glass of house wine, the waitress snickered and smiled when walking away saying “yeah it’s pretty expensive, isn’t it” like it was so funny to her. Asked the bar to see his menu and was confused to see other wines at a cheaper price and he says “oh you wanted the cheap swill?” Yeah that’s what anyone means when they ask for house, they aren’t asking for your top shelf, or just your “recommendation for middle of the road priced, easy to keep in stock wine”. Historically the definition of a house wine is the restaurants cheapest wine, bulk wine, or essentially “well” option. To be charged $20 for a glass that isn’t even their cheapest wine, when ordering their “house” wine,...
Read moreWas pleased to have a restaurant onsite after arriving to the hotel late. At 9pm or so there were a few groups of people eating. The restaurant was chill and clearly specialized in quality liquors with some highfalutin $15-50 shots of all varieties. My server, Lora, was quick, hospitable, and fun. Ordered a standard Paloma and received the Jose Cuervo $8 version. Also ordered the seared ahi burger but was generally disappointed in it. The grill must not have been hot enough to sear the meat, but instead sort of slowly cooked the exterior. While it was a large chunk of ahi ($28), the fillet wasn’t cut well and I found sinew within the cut, sacrificing the pleasant mouthfeel. The “toasted brioche” bun was airy, didn’t support the weight of the ahi well, and the bottom ended up soppy and unpalatable. However, the Parmesan fries were top notch and boosted the...
