I had a absolutely amazing experience! I ate from here two days in a row. Day 1, I ordered food online to be delivered to my hotel. When the food arrived, I noticed that they had forgotten my Damn Good Wings. I was really looking forward to tasting those wings because they described them so good on their menu. I was so disappointed. Anyway, I called the restaurant and spoke to a young lady who did not argue with me or try to make me feel like I was lying. She simply apologized and offered to refund my card for the wings plus tax. She was very empathic as well and provided great customer service! Day 2, I go to the restaurant because I really wanted to taste those Damn Good Wings. I was immediately greeted at the door and offered a seat in the bar area. Sara, the server came over within minutes and offered me a menu and asked my drink order. I couldn't wait to order those wings. So I ordered my drink and the wings right away. My drink was on point! Liquor content to orange juice was perfect. Then I got those Damn Good Wings and boy they were everything the menu described! They taste ABSOLUTELY FREAK'N FANTASTIC! That spicy bourbon barbecue sauce was everything! Sara came back and got my entree order. I got the buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Now here's where things take a turn. It didn't very long for me to get the order which I thought was great. There was only one small problem. The chicken was tough and rubbery. It appeared it had not been marinated and was rushed cooked. I wasn't upset though because everything else had been great and I was still planning on getting their organic butter cream salted caramel carrot cake. Sara came back and asked how was everything and I told her about the chicken but also stated that I didn't want it taken off the bill because I've had such a great experience and the Damn Good Wings made up for the bad fried chicken breasts. Sara asked to have my plate to show the manager. I again stated that I do not want any for free, I can overlook the fried chicken. She said that food quality was very important to them. I appreciated that and gave her the plate. After a few minutes, the manager, Monica, came over and apologized for the food and stated that food quality and guest satisfaction was very important to the restaurant. I thanked her and told her that I had a great experience despite the fried chicken and appreciate her coming over. She said that the chicken was exactly as I had explained and said that even though I didn't ask for anything free, she was removing the chicken from the bill. She also stated that she appreciated my sharing my experience with her. I was so pleased with her attitude, professionalism and customer service! She and Sara, just like the young lady who I had spoken with the day prior all provided TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE! Neither of them tried to argue with me or make me feel like I was at fault. They simply listened, apologized, empathized and turned a bad instance into a positive outcome. They also created a repeat customer. THANK YOU SARA, MONICA AND THE YOUNG LADY I SPOKE TO OVER THE PHONE! SHARP'S ROASTHOUSE NOT ONLY HAS GREAT FOOD BUT EXCELLENT...
Read moreSharps RoastHouse is exactly the kind of place I absolutely love to review. Situated minutes from the airport in SeaTac, it's one of those sleeper places that locals may not even be aware of. My wife and I stopped with our 2 kids after I returned from the east coast.
Upon entering the first thing you'll notice is that Sharps takes its meat, and its whiskey and bourbon very seriously. When the smell of roasting beef, pork, and aromatics hit your nose it's enough to make anyone who loves meat cooking slow and steady weep.
I actually shed a tear. A meat ecstasy fueled tear of utter joy.
The decor is amazing and the people working there care about every customer, despite being in an area where tourist fatigue is a real thing. But let me get to the food....
All of their pasta is made in-house as are their absolutely divine burgers. My boys both ordered the Mac-n-Cheese from the kid's menu, but there aren't any blue boxes with powdered cheese product here. The fries are hand cut and seasoned beautifully. I ordered their double cheeseburger and added a fried egg because you only live once. If I attempted to describe how perfectly balanced this burger is, you'd get bored and not look at the pictures. My wife ordered the prime rib dip and added mushrooms. Also totally butter. We also tried the pulled pork fries on the small plate menu. I'm pulling my southern card here and will testify * TESTIFYYYYYY* that the pulled pork is legit. Absolutely approved by this old Virginia boy.
As for the beverages, if it's brewed in Washington State they probably have it. They boast an extensive if not utterly unmatched selection of whiskey in the area and do offer a 21 and up bar, which is...umm .. full. They also have an area that can be reserved for large groups or functions.
Be sure to check out the pictures of the food... Your eyes will tell you more than my paltry words. One last thing.... If you're into food challenges.... They have one. It's their Monster Burger Challenge. 2.5 lbs of their awesome burger blend with every topping imaginable. Eat in in 5 minutes or less, and it's free and you get your name on THE MONSTER BURGER WALLLLLLLL!!! If you just want to share one with a table of people, it's $40.
In summation....if you're in SeaTac and need a great experience. Go. Also, Terrance was our server and hw made the entire experience. Professional, friendly, and completely accommodating. He even brought the kids a little scoop of their in house made ice cream. You won't be...
Read moreI can’t say enough about Sharps. It was recommended by the front desk at the Hampton in where I have been staying. The hotel gave me a coupon for Sharps. Those don’t usually sway me but it did keep the name of the place in my mind and I didn’t see anything else catching my fancy in the area.
Upon entering I noticed the atmosphere was inviting to the casual diner yet also more upscale. Instead of getting a table I decided to sit at the bar. I was quickly greeted by the friendly and incredibly knowledgeable bartender and her trainee. They were discussing drink measurements and portions but never missed a beat on the orders and always gave me and the others immediate attention. I decided to order the American double smash burger (I hope that’s the correct name). I have to say, from trying different foods around the world and resorting to burgers when indecisive, this was one of the best culinary decisions I have ever made. I don’t want to find an error as I may have forgotten a GOLDEN burger I’ve had in the past but I can truthfully say I can’t remember the last time I had a burger this good. It was excellent in every way.
The rest of the staff were all super friendly too. One person, who I assume might be a manager, after expressing my delight with the burger, gave me full details on how it is prepared. There was much pride and even love in that description. They have a drink-wheel next to the bar with a 30-minute timer next to it. Every half hour they spin the wheel and whichever drink it lands on gets discounted for the next 30 minutes.
Everyone there, staff and diners, appeared happy. I noticed smiles on families and lone diners as they exited as I was walking back from the restroom which had an incredible collection of framed “Far Side Gallery” comics on the wall in the stall.
I was so pleased with the whole experience that I ordered a dessert to take back to the front desk attendant who recommended Sharps to me.
With no surprise I highly recommend Sharps RoastHouse to everyone! All ages! It’s not the largest menu I’ve seen but what they have will definitely impress. It is very close to the airport so if you’re flying into SeaTac and have a lengthy layover, it will be worth...
